| This paper takes the foreign aid report of China Daily as the research object,aims to study the actual tendency meaning implied in its text content,and then outlines the news framework of foreign aid report and China's foreign image constructed in the framework.The results have a certain reference significance for China's foreign communication and image construction.In 2018,in order to strengthen the strategic planning and overall coordination of foreign aid and promote the unified management of foreign aid,according to the decision of the Third Plenary Session of the 19 th CPC Central Committee on deepening the reform of Party and state institutions,the national agency for international development and cooperation was officially established and the foreign aid management system was significantly reformed,which played a significant role in strengthening the strategic planning,overall planning and coordination of foreign aid.As an English party newspaper that displays and disseminates China's image to the outside world,China Daily is an important platform and window for the world to understand China.According to the National Bureau of statistics,although China's economy suffered a great loss from the bad effects of COVID-19 from 2019,the volume of China's economy still recovered to 2020,the first time it exceeded 100 trillion US dollars,and the total GDP of China for the first time exceeded 200 trillion US dollars,becoming the only major economy in the world to achieve positive economic growth.With the enhancement of China's economic endogenous force,foreign aid is also changing day by day,undertaking the new mission of "telling the Chinese story well".The foreign aid reported by China Daily not only reflects China's economic strength and foreign policies,but also reflects the mutually beneficial and win-win opening-up strategy of China's diplomatic work,but also reflects its reporting concept of shaping China's image to the outside world.The study selected the foreign aid reports in China Daily from 2018 to 2020 as the research object,with a total of 131 effective statistical samples.Taking the framework theory and content analysis as the means to interpret the text and topics,the study analyzed and studied the shaping of the foreign image of China Daily from six aspects: Report quantity,report theme,news source,report perspective,report genre and tendency,This paper summarizes the theme framework of China Daily's external reporting-the theme is rich,but the reporting focus is concentrated,the reporting perspective of external focus is the main,serves foreign policy,takes positive reporting as the main tone of news reporting,news is the main reporting genre,and in-depth reporting is lacking;The current model of China Daily's foreign aid news reporting framework is achievement led mutual benefit framework and data fact framework;The author analyzes the causes of news reporting framework from three aspects: politics,economy and society.The conclusion of this study is that the image of China created by the foreign aid report of China Daily is: the diplomatic image of responsible cooperation,the political image of peace and neutrality,the economic image of prosperity and development,and the social image of generosity and friendship.It also analyzes the role of China's image in the struggle of international public opinion in foreign aid: guiding international public opinion and understanding China's foreign aid policy;Let international public opinion distinguish right from wrong in clarifying fallacies;Enhance the influence of international public opinion on China's image as a responsible big country.The problems and deficiencies of China Daily's foreign aid reports are: first,the reports are unbalanced,news oriented and lack of in-depth reports;Second,the lack of conflict risk reports;Third,there is insufficient interaction with the audience,and there are few reports of non-governmental assistance.Finally,aiming at the problems existing in the report ofChina Daily,the author tries to put forward his own innovative views on the classic news theory of "social responsibility theory",and puts forward targeted suggestions to improve China's national image.First,increase in-depth reporting and enrich the reporting genre;Second,increase problem and risk reports;Third,cultivate professional journalists and innovate interactive ways;Fourth,guide international public opinion to understand China's foreign aid policy... |
