| With the advent of the era of big data,data literacy has become one of the necessary literacies for citizens in the era of big data.As a discipline with inform ation management and data management as its core research issues,the discipline of library and intelligence should pay special attention to data literacy education.Therefore,it is necessary for the dissertation to study the current situation of data literacy education in China’s library and intelligence masters.Based on the survey and research,firstly,the thesis compares the current situ ation of data literacy ability and education needs of the current master of library and intelligence students.The survey results show that most students are aware of the importance of data and can be responsible for the data used in their dissertat ions and research results;however,there is a need to enhance their awareness of data authenticity and data quality,limited access to data,lack of confidence in obt aining data independently,most students cannot use data analysis software and vis ualization tools independently,lack of accuracy in grasping statistical quantities,an d lack of knowledge and understanding of specific laws and regulations.The auth or also found that there are some differences in the performance and educational needs of students in different grades and disciplines in terms of data literacy skills.Secondly,the paper analyzed the development of data literacy education in maste r’s degree in library intelligence in 30 universities.In general,three universities,in cluding Shanghai University,Nanjing University of Science and Technology and Ti anjin Normal University,have made the improvement of students’ data literacy a tr aining goal;six universities,including Fudan University,Guizhou University of Fin ance and Economics and Hebei University,have set up data-related research directi ons for students to choose;22 universities,including East China Normal Universit y,Northeast Normal University,Central China Normal University and Jilin Univers ity,have incorporated data-related courses into the library intelligence professional education curriculum.However,in the process of implementation,there are still pr oblems such as insufficient number of courses,incomplete course contents,monoto nous course formats,and insufficient understanding of students’ needs.Based on the problems in the data literacy education of Chinese library intelli gence masters,the thesis gives targeted suggestions: to promote the importance of data literacy education and enhance the awareness of data literacy;to subdivide st udents’ needs and carry out dynamic hierarchical education;to improve the content of data literacy education in the three dimensions of data awareness,data compet ence and data ethics;to adopt a teaching mode that combines book knowledge an d practice,traditional classroom lectures and independent learning;and to encourag e the cooperation with the students.The teaching mode combines book knowledge and practice,traditional classroom lectures and independent learning;encourages d iversified cooperation with related disciplines in various faculties,professional teac hers and employers;actively carries out teaching feedback and establishes a teachi ng evaluation platform.In order to promote the development process of data litera-cy education in China and cultivate high-quality talents with data literacy. |
