With the extensive application of new media technology,the emergence of various art exhibitions and the gradual increase of people's spiritual and cultural needs,the operation of museums shows the characteristics of centering on the public.This paper focuses on the public participation of museums.Participatory culture enables the grassroots to rise rapidly and become a subject of social rights that cannot be ignored.Due to new media forms and media environment,the public has the power to resist the authority status of museum art.So that the public are endowed with the rights of equal dialogue and museum,break traditional museum sanctified and elite ontology narrative way,by the traditional pattern of contemplation and appreciate the art development to active participation,become the artistic content producers and consumers,and let us review the beginning of art,the relationship of the people.Museum from a commanding position in the traditional sense,in a professional problem solver,from top to bottom on the public art education,gradually change to a starting from public expects and aesthetic demand,actively guide public art exchange,art creation,art communication platform,and in the form of new media,participate in the form of a closer the distance between the art and the public.From the perspective of art communication,this paper takes the phenomenon of public participation in museums as the research object to sort out the new relationship between museums,art and the public.Based on the context of the new media of the museum's composite function and transmission characteristics,to explore the value of public participation in the its production and influence on the development of the arts,and in view of the public participation in art museum the problems put forward relevant countermeasures in the process of operation,to art education and the museum of the future better communication has a certain practical guiding significance.
