The use of social media in everyday life is becoming more and more common,Compared with traditional media,social media gives users the right to speak and communicate in a interactive space,which has a greater impact on people’s participation in public activities and building public relations,and social media provides a broader space for citizen participation,so it is of great significance to research the social media use and public participation of the visually impaired.With the advances in technology and policy support for information barrier-free released by the state,the current barrier-free reading environment has entered the all media age.Visually impaired people can use social media and access information by means of reading software such as reading screen software,aids,etc.Especially WeChat,QQ have developed a voice function,it is more and more convenient for them to access the internet.The number of visually impaired people who using social media is increasing.Many studies have shown that social media use has a certain impact on public participation,so what about the visually impaired ? Does their social media use also have an impact on their public participation?One of the purpose of this study is to comprehensively understand the social media use and public participation of the visually impaired;the other purpose is to explore the impact of social media use of the visually impaired on their public participation and the correlation of online public participation and offline public participation.The first chapter briefly introduces three basic concepts and lists the literature review of this study at home and abroad.On the basis of the literature review,the theoretical basis of this study is put forward,which can better guide the quantitative research and qualitative research.The second chapter lists the hypothesis of quantitative research.Based on the previous studies,17 research hypotheses are listed,and the research design of quantitative research is briefly introduced.From the questionnaire design and pre-survey to the issuance and recovery of questionnaires.And finally explains some of the concepts and measurements in quantitative research.The third chapter is the quantitative research part of empirical research,which showing the results of questionnaire survey.Based on the 357 valid questionnaires obtained,the data were analyzed by logistic analysis methods and correlation analysis methods.The fourth chapter of is the interview results and analysis,the study selected 10 representative interviewers,and the interview results intuitively presented.The last chapter of this study summarizes the findings of this study:(1)There is a significant correlation between part of online public participation and part of offline public participation;(2)Social media use of the visually impaired will affect their online public participation and offline public participation in a certain extent;(3)Demographic variables also affect their public participation.Secondly,this paper summarizes the limitations and reflection of the study,and finally put forward the proposal. |
