Research On The Public Education Of Museums

With the development of the times,the cause of the museum is also booming.The educational function of the museum has been increasingly concerned by the whole society.The museum is an important part of the public education and cultural system.It bears the important task of condensing the essence of human cultural heritage,disseminating excellent human culture,and strengthening the quality of the people.Inspired by the new era,the education of the museum has not only protected and promoted historical culture and cultural heritage,but also has been used as a means to build the core of the public's spiritual connotation and social culture.The study of the education is not limited to the conceptual understanding of the education of the museum,but it must be combined with social facts to study its influence on social and cultural convergence.Through understanding the concepts of public education and the public education of museum,this article affirms that the museum is a public cultural institution and that the education it undertakes is part of public education.Therefore,it is considered that the education of the museum can be called “public education of museum”.The article states that the museum implements museum public education through public welfare exhibitions,school-school cooperation,events,and volunteer services.Among them,there are museum exhibitions and temporary exhibitions arranged by the museum to meet the cultural needs of the people.The museum-school collaboration is mainly for elementary schools,middle schools,or some universities.The academic forum,youth activities,mobile museums,cultural experiences,network interactions,etc.Volunteer service is to point out that volunteers are the main force of the education of the museum,and the education can not do without the efforts of volunteers.Through the explanation of the public education methods of museums,the four purposes of museum public education are achieved.They are the establishment of the “three outlooks” of the young generation,the investment of lifelong public welfare education,the use of undifferentiated cultural resources,and the improvement of the overall cultural quality of the public.Then,I selected domestic and foreign outstanding examples of public education and summed up lessons learned from it.For example,foreign countries selected famous museums in developed countries that are doing better in the world,namely the Smithsonian Museum in the United States,the British Museum in England,and the Tokyo National Museum in Japan.Then it will summarize the 2017 exhibition and education activities of the Yunnan Provincial Museum and analyze the public education functions of the Yunnan Provincial Museum.In the analysis of the public education situation of the Yunnan Provincial Museum,the data of the movable seats in the museum was compiled,and the priorities of its public education were analyzed.Finally,the education status of the Yunnan Provincial Museum was a small field of view.Put forward some points of view on the education of museums in Yunnan Province.
