This study introduces major events of public supervision from2001to2010to observe the process of public supervision from the media-led to public participation, as well as investigating, with an angle of field of internet, the interaction between news production and social control. Applying the research paradigm of sociology of news production, along with Bourdieu’s Field Theory, anthropologic methodologies such as field research and focus interview, this study attempts to reveal the complicated news production practice and power regulation behind magnificent narration and simplified generalization under the influence of internet, discuss the strategy of "public participation" supervision, and the significance of public participation on internet in advancing civic virtues and promoting the process of political democratization.Firstly, features of "public participation" appears from a diachronic view influenced by internet; Then this article takes "Qian yunhui" event as an example to analyze the production mechanism of "public participation" supervision, such as "two kinds of driving power", interactive communication and cycle reporting, and the characteristics of the internet field, such as the relationship between source and disseminator. News Nets, and changes in news production, transmission and distribution platforms; Thirdly the author discusses the current deficiency and causes of "public participation" supervision by inspecting the performances of these three important roles, public media as well as government; Next, the paper enunciates the power operation of political, economic, intellectuals and media counterparts, so as to raise specific strategies in the last section, such as government’s necessity to change the idea of administration, media’s shouldering their responsibility, and the internet users’adhering to rationality. The thesis also suggests employing "public participation" into the system construction, in order to improve the mechanism of public supervision in the new-media environment.
