The Research On OTD Of Z Company Based On Supply Chain Integration

With the technological progress and rapid development of productivity,the product life cycle is growing getting shorter,which poses new challenges to enterprise operation management.Considering competition among enterprises has changed from cost,service,and quality to shipment period and supply chain,on time delivery(OTD)becomes an important part of enterprises' competitiveness.On time delivery not only influenced by company's own operational capabilities,but also affected by supply chain partners.From the perspective of supply chain integration,exploring ways to improve OTD is of great value for improving resource combination ability,accelerating the development of generation method and increasing profits.Taking Z Enterprise as an example,this thesis analyzed how original design manufacture(ODM)use supply chain integration theory to improve OTD.After analyzing the influencing factors of the products' OTD,we found that the main causes were complicated order management process,raw material supply shortage issue and insufficient safety stock.Thus,the thesis analyzed the root reasons and proposed solutions from the aspects of order management,supplier management and inventory management.Firstly,as to the complicated order management process,this thesis found problems existed and made improvement proposal by using method of American Society of Mechanical Engineer(ASME).Secondly,the thesis rebuilt supplier management processes and supplier evaluation system from the perspective of supply chain cooperation and then strengthen supplier management from supplier selection,evaluation and process control,aiming to raw material supply issue.Finally,for the insufficient safety stock issue,this thesis put forward ABC Classification(ABC)within the supply chain and used vendor management inventory from the outside aspect of the supply chain,which improved the current status of Z company's inventory management capabilities.These proposals solved some problems existing in Z Company.The OTD of Z company increased as well as customer satisfaction.It is hoped that these measures will be of reference to related ODM.
