| Based on the intersection of taboo study and philology,this paper takes the classic work Jing Shi Bi Ming Hui Kao(??????)(hereinafter referred to as Hui Kao)as the research object,and tries to study from the quotations of this book.By adopting two types of narrative modes,which are the perspective of philology and the perspective of taboo study,this paper attempts to fully demonstrate the achievements made in the study of taboo with the following ways:to analyze the main contents of the historical materials cited in Hui Kao,to excavate the inherent characteristics of the historical materials cited,and then to summarize the main viewpoints of Hui Kao on taboo study through quoting historical materials,and finally to summarize Zhou Guangye's insights and discoveries in the study of taboos.The full text includes five chapters in total.The Introduction part mainly introduces Zhou Guangye's life,career and his writings,reviews research situation of Hui Kao,and explores why Zhou Guangye wrote this book,as the basis of the following analysis.The first and second chapters belong to the perspective of philology.The first chapter analyzes the stylistic rules and layout of Hui Kao,specifically including the frame of the whole book,differents ways of quoting,common citation styles and existing problems.This chapter is the foundation of following research,and it can also conduce to later study.The second chapter introduces the Four-part Classification method of ancient chinese books,so that it shows the overview of the cited documents in Huikao,the categories of the cited documents,the distribution of the documents about taboo in the Four-part Classification area and the main content of these taboo relating historical materials.In this part,according to the content and characteristics of the cited documents,this paper also attempts to subdivide the complicated historical materials of taboo into four categories,which are the historical materials of taboo principle,historical materials of taboo laws,historical materials of taboo phenomenon,and historical materials of taboo research.Through the combination of type analysis and historical materials classification,it is hoped that the interpretation from the perspective of philology will be more refined.The third and fourth chapters belong to the perspective of taboo study,and they respectively discuss Zhou Guangye's view on taboo and his achievements in taboo study.The reason why this paper discusses Zhou Guangye's view on taboo is that it can conduce to the understanding of Zhou Guangye's viewpoint in taboo phenomenon,it can also help us understand why Zhou Guangye consumed a lot of energy on this book and achieved a lot in taboo study.The fourth chapter discusses Zhou Guangye's achievements in taboo study,including Zhou Guangye's emphasis on names,combing of the basic issues of taboo study,expositions on the principles and methods of taboo in different eras,expounding on the topic of taboo phenomena,and some taboo phenomena that had never benn noticed by anyone before him.Citations occupies about half of Hui Kao,and they are closed related to Zhou Guangye's views.Therefore,to clarify Zhou Guangye's views,we must first grasp the complex quotations.This is also the reason why this article analyzes the quotations first and then discusses the views and achievements.Because only by combing through the quotations in philology,can we further explore Zhou Guangye's views and achievements on taboo study.At the same time,the materials cited by Zhou Guangye have their own unique value,that is,the rich historical matreials on taboo.Therefore,this article conducts in-depth statistics and analysis on them.The concluding part mainly summarizes the main content of this article,expounds some understanding of the characteristics of taboo phenomenon,and hopes that researchers can further understand the value of Hui Kao in taboo study. |
