On The Archival Management Of Historical Materials Of Science And Technology Celebrities

Scientists,especially veteran ones,are the living archives of the history of science and technology in the People's Republic.Their early academic life is an important part of the history of science and technology in New China.Under the guidance of the strategy of invigorating China through science and technology,systematically sorting and developing the historical materials of scientific and technological celebrities are important in embodying humanistic care for scientists,creating an overall atmosphere that advocates science in society,integrating and optimizing national scientific and technological literature resources,preventing the loss of subject knowledge assets,and promoting scientific and technological innovation.The integration of historical data of these persons should reflect the concept of archival construction and become an extension and supplement of scientific and technological archives for academic departments.Archives are credential information in purposive control.Archivalization is based on the active use as a control mode and the effective sharing as a document ownership.Its essence is the construction of archival resources,that is,to ensure that original historical materials can be systematically controlled.The archivalization of the historical documents of scientific and technological celebrities is based on themselves,with oral data,physical data and image data as the objects to integrate and centralize the scientific literature and knowledge scattered in the space and memories of scientists and their teams.Based on the analysis of the famous historian Mr.Dai Yi 's discussion on the characteristics of archives that distinguish them from other historical materials,in this paper,the connotation of the archivalization of scientific and technological celebrities' historical materials is embodied in three aspects : the collection and selection of scattered historical materials,the consciousness of ‘truth' and ‘identification' in historical data collection,and the structural integration and diversification of historical data.At the same time,this paper combs the current management situation of archival resources of scientific and technological celebrities from natural state and atypical controlled state respectively.It is considered that the historical data resources under natural state mainly have the problems including physical dispersion and isolation(inability to form original connections)and uncontrollable safety risks.Therefore,to achieve resource concentration and safe storage,‘rescue' should be an urgent task;to systematically improve and optimize quality,historical materials in a non-typical controlled state need to improve the quality of scientific and technological oral interviews and deepen the development and utilization of information.In addition,this paper anatomizes the causes for the bad situation of historical data resources from four aspects,including the formation law of scientific and technological activity records,the traditional bias of scientific and technological archives management of ‘focusing on results over process management',the lag of scientific and technological oral interviews and the lack of standardization,and the scarcity of compound human resources in collection activities.Finally,this paper discusses the archival construction strategy of scientific and technological celebrities from the goal-oriented rule planning and the control of information resources.
