The technology has had a profound effect on the publishing industry.Shifting from the printed books due to digitized publishing has been challenging,but at the same time,it has opened up new opportunities.Therefore,embracing the latest technology could help significantly boost the publishing industry and help secure its future.As early as the 1990 s,we can say that digital publishing was born on 4 July 1971 when Project Gutenberg started,while in our country,it had only been more than a decade until2020,therefore digital publishing technology,digital publishing profit model,digital publishing market and so on have developed slowly.On top of that,in Xinjiang,digital publishing started a little later than the rest of china.Xinjiang Education Press,as one of the major publishing houses in Xinjiang,digital publishing is almost at zero station.This is a research article about Xinjiang Education Publishing House in which providing feasible digital transformation strategies and suggestions for Xinjiang Education Publishing House by learning from some successful cases of publishing digital transformation in our country and analyzing the specific status of it.First of all,this article conducts a study on the digital transformation of the publishing industry at home and abroad.We have learned about the methods of digital transformation of the publishing industry by analyzing a large number of documents and reports.Secondly,we research the current development of Xinjiang Education Press to find out the problems in its digital transformation.Thirdly,we analyze the macro environment of digital publishing development of our country using the PEST(political,economic,social,technological)analysis.and study the advantages and disadvantages,as well as the opportunities and challenges in digital transformation of it through SWOT analysis.and summarize the digital development of other publishing institutions in my country through case study,so that expounding the necessity of digital transformation for Xinjiang Education Press and learning from relevant successful experiences.Lastly,we find out a digital transformation strategy for Xinjiang Education Publishing House,including establishing a new way of thinking,updating publishing products and service models,introducing digital communication sales channels,building of talented team to meet the requirements of digital transformation,and management mechanisms to ensure the development of digital transformation,etc.However,in this paper we have not elaborated on the copyright protection of digital publishing.This is one of the main problems of this paper,and that is what we need to improve in the future.
