Empathy,as an inherent human psychological mechanism,plays a unique humanistic value in both individual development and real communication.In recent years,the concept of empathy,which originated from aesthetics and flourished in psychology,has also begun to appear in the research of communication circles.Whether in foreign exchanges,public opinion guidance or media production,the application of empathy in communication and interaction is becoming more and more diversified.For the media,empathy is an important starting point for the construction of communication space,which is of great significance for the communication of variety show.Looking back on the development history of variety show in China for more than 30 years,we can find that the development of TV variety show in China has changed from sensory stimulation to emotional deepening.The emphasis on audience's emotional experience shows the social care of "respect and love" in current variety show production.This kind of care is the deep empathy for the contemporary psychology,audience needs and cultural heritage,In the CCTV variety show "Everlasting Classics",through the excavation of poetry and the spiritual connotation behind it,it is connected with the current real society and realizes the empathy with the audience and the times.Based on the theory of empathy cycle put forward by Barrett Leonard,this paper studies the application of classic chant in empathy from four aspects: empathy background,empathy scene,empathy narrative and empathy effect.First of all,in terms of empathy background,this paper holds that the program production of "classic chanting spread" has grasped the traditional cultural form of poetry,which is full of national history,spirit and aesthetic culture.The presentation of traditional culture poetry in the program is an artistic interpretation of the era proposition of cultural self-confidence.Meanwhile,the communication form of poetry and music also skillfully conforms to the current trend of ancient music in artistic form.Secondly,as the media form of the integration of sound and picture,the setting of the physical scene of the program has a promoting effect on the development of the program content,which constitutes the entity scene of empathy ?
