Study On Trade Facilitation And Export Of Electronic And Communication Equipment Manufacturing Industry In "The Belt And Road" Countries

It is one of China's important development strategies to jointly build "The Belt and Road",which meets the needs of people around the world for peace and development and meets the vision of people around the world for building a community with a shared future for mankind.China's "The Belt and Road" initiative has entered a phase of high-quality development: trade flows continue to grow;Investment cooperation has been deepened.New breakthroughs were made in the construction of free trade zones.The mechanism and platform have been improved.At the same time,if China wants to form a new pattern of opening to the outside world,it needs to actively participate in international economic cooperation and promote China's high-tech industry to "go out".The manufacturing industry of electronic and communication equipment is an important part of China's high-tech industry,whose output value accounts for more than 50% of the total output value of high-tech,and plays an important role in promoting the development and growth of China's economy.However,China's electronics and communication equipment manufacturing industry started late,the foundation is still relatively weak.Most enterprises are still engaged in manufacturing and export activities in the low value-added part of the global value chain,and product innovation,technology research and development and brand marketing need to be improved.How to better promote China's electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry to "go out",through the expansion of export to stimulate the development of the industry,make up for the short board,to build the brand image of "Made in China" is particularly important.Therefore,this paper focuses on studying whether the improvement of trade facilitation in "The Belt and Road" countries can effectively promote the increase of the export scale of China's electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry,and at the same time,what kind of action mechanism can have an impact on it.Based on this,this paper focuses on building the comprehensive index of trade facilitation of countries along "The Belt and Road" to measure and analyze its impact on China's export of electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry.First of all,according to the theory of comparative advantage,regional economic integration theory,transaction cost theory and international direct investment theory as the theoretical basis,from the trade facilitation to promote regional economic integration,trade facilitation to attract direct investment to promote trade and trade facilitation to reduce transaction costs three aspects,to explore the mechanism of action of trade and investment facilitation effect on manufacturing exports.Secondly,by combining dynamic and static methods and qualitative and quantitative methods for specific research,from the current situation of export scale and export structure,the overall level analysis and regional level analysis,all-round,multi-level to clarify the current situation of China's electronic and communication equipment manufacturing export.Then,a comprehensive evaluation index system is constructed by objective weighting of factor analysis method to measure the development level of trade facilitation of countries along "The Belt and Road",and the level of trade facilitation of countries along "The Belt and Road" is analyzed from the overall level and the regional level.Furthermore,based on the panel data of countries along the Belt and Road from 2008 to 2017,a gravitation model for expanding trade is constructed,and the empirical analysis and robustness test are carried out.Finally,according to the theoretical and empirical research results,the conclusions of this paper are drawn and policy recommendations are put forward.Through the empirical analysis of this paper,the following conclusions are drawn: First,from the overall perspective,trade facilitation has a significantly positive impact on the export of electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry.When other indicators remain unchanged,every 1% increase in trade facilitation of countries along "The Belt and Road" will lead to a 2.705%increase in China's exports from the electronics and communications equipment manufacturing industry.This means that the construction and development of trade facilitation in countries along "The Belt and Road" is of great significance to the expansion of export of China's electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry.Secondly,in addition to GDP per capital,trade facilitation(COX),China's foreign direct investment(OFDI),geographical distance between the two countries(DST)and whether the two countries have signed a free trade agreement(CTC)all have a significant positive impact on the export of China's electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry.Finally,in the comprehensive evaluation system of trade facilitation,financial and technological availability have the greatest impact on the export of China's electronic and communication equipment manufacturing industry.It shows that foreign direct investment,technology transfer and the availability of loans have largely enriched the capital stock and flow of countries along "The Belt and Road" route,and stimulated their market vitality and import consumption demand.Based on the research findings and empirical results of this paper,the following suggestions are proposed: to expand the promoting role of trade facilitation;Strengthen infrastructure development and information technology innovation;Give full play to cooperation in regional economic systems;Explore new ways to achieve mutual benefit.
