In recent decades,as the aviation industry has been developing rapidly,the requirements for the anti-fuse performance of the integrated circuit in the spacecraft has been raised higher and higher accordingly.Anti-fuse PROM(Programmable Read Only Memory)is featured with non-volatility,high-reliablility and anti-radiation,which enable it to be widely used in radiation environments to store critical data.The research on antifuse PROM in China started late,so that the manufacturing technology and programming technology are lagging behind compared to developed countries.Because of the technical blockade,there is an urgent need to achieve breakthroughs on anti-fuse PROM technology.In this paper,based on the 256 Kbit MTM(Metal to Metal)anti-fuse PROM chip independently developed by our research group,a designe and implementation of a programming system adapt to it is introduced.The programming system is designed to provide chip testing for the research group,to help do research on chip programming methods and failure causes,so as to help chip to iterate in order to achieve engineering applications.Based on the the analysis of the PROM chip structure,programming principle,timing and the requirements of the PROM chip testing work set by the research group,the architechture of the programming system is designed.The programming system is designed to consist of two parts,the upper computer and the lower computer,with the upper computer and the lower computer communicate via a serial port.The lower computer is composed of an FPGA(Field Programmable Gated Array)for controlling and some peripheral circuits.FPGA can generate corresponding signals to control the peripheral circuits to initialize,read or write the PROM chip according to instructions received from the serial port,and send feedback data to the upper computer.The upper computer is composed of a user interface and back-end logic,which can complete operations including blank checking,programming,verification,and supplementary writing to PROM based on the ‘instruction-feedback' loop between the lower computer and the upper computer.At the same time,it can complete detailed data recording to facilitate analysis of the test results and the programming process.Then,this paper introduces technical details of the software and the hardware of each part of the programming system.Finally,this paper will look into the testing work of PROM chip based on this programming system.The test results and programming results obtained all reach expectations,which indicates that the programming system could function as intended.In addition,the programming system adopts modular design,so it possesses good scalability and compatibility inconsideration of future upgrades and improvements.
