Research On Reading Promotion Of University Library In Fuzhou University Town

The research on reading promotion has received widespread attention at home and abroad.As one of the leading institutions of reading promotion,the university library gives full play to its own resources and talents and provides practical and effective reading guidance for teachers and students.Reading promotion in colleges and universities is a research hot spot and focus of many scholars.Local university libraries in the university town occupy regional advantages,pool collection resources at different levels,and have various educational functions such as talent training,scientific research,and reading services in different professional directions.The purpose of implementing reading promotion activities for university libraries and cooperating with other libraries or organizations is to meet readers' cultural and reading needs.First and foremost,the article briefly introduces the current status,the concepts,constituent elements and content forms of reading promotion at home and abroad,and clarifies the purpose and content of reading promotion in college libraries.Secondly,using network tools,the study collects relevant information about the organization and planning subjects,publicity channels,activity forms,and contents of local college libraries in Fuzhou University Town.Results reveal that the levels of development of reading promotion vary in different universities.Moreover,taking Fuzhou University and Fujian Normal University as research examples,the study conducts the interviews from librarians and the relevant questionnaire about personal reading status and reading needs for college students.Results show that college students actively participant and have higher demand in the reading promotion activities.Finally,the study summarizes the general problems of reading promotion in university libraries and provides related feasible suggestions for reading promotion activities basing on prior work.
