On The College Reading Promotion Of The Demassification Theory

Abstract/Summary:
With the development of the information society,the rising power of the minority is playing an increasingly important role.In this context,college readers are divided,which puts forward higher requirements on college reading promotion.In the face of the "demassification" and the diversified demands of reading,the traditional reading promoting mode can't attract readers and meet their demands any more.Based on the Demassification Theory and cases of the demassification reading promotion,the thesis aims to develop the College Demassification Reading Promotion Theory and provide feasible strategies for the demassification reading promotion on the domestic campus.Firstly,the thesis analyses concept of "demassification" and "Demassification Communication Theory".According to the basic theory of library service,the thesis defines the college demassification reading promotion,expounds its generating premises,objectives and necessity of implementation.Then,selecting three types of representative cases including college reading education,recommended bibliography and the reading promotion library magazine,it makes the case analysis from six evaluation indicators and sums up their experiences and defects in order to enlighten other readers.Finally,according to the construction principles and the main forms of reading promotion,the thesis constructs a model of college demassification reading promotion.It puts forward strategies from five aspects,namely,organizational level,resource level,activity level,participation mechanism and feedback mechanism:set reasonable organization structure,cultivate new types of reading promoters,construct reading guidance resource library,set up official platform for the activity,advocate the demassification reading education,carry out distinct reading festival activities,publish reading promotion library magazines,make use of the interactive advertising model,introduce content crowdsourcing model,pay more attentions to readers'requirement expressions and feedbacks.As a result,the demassification reading promotion could be beneficial to carry out the public reading promotion on campusCompared to traditional reading promotion,the demassification reading promotion on campus is an innovation.It requires to grasp the readers' true demand,concern about the current resource and services and launch the promotion at a right time.On this basis,we can further explore other classifications of demassification,richer reading promotion activities of academic libraries and public libraries,and so on.
