In 2010,the “Non-fiction” column was set up in People's Literature.Non-fiction stood up in the complex types of media content market,winning the platform and user's favor in only about 10 years.Professional writers,professional journalists,freelance writers,and “Grassroots writers” are even encouraged to participate in the creative process,from the professional writing group to the ordinary people,the trend of nonfiction writing has gradually come into being.Popularization means that nonfiction writing is no longer the exclusive province of a particular group of writers,no matter of professional writers or amateur writers and even experienced first-timers,everyone has the opportunity to become a nonfiction writer.The popularity and development of non-fiction writing in China is not an independent phenomenon but closely related to China's media competition and transformation.The question that deserves attention is:How did the trend of non-fiction writing become popular gradually? What social role does the writing subject play in this trend? Under the new media environment,what are the influences and illumination in the trend of non-fiction writing to the public that can be used for reference in media content production?The diversity and difference of the internal members of the creative community are the main manifestations of the trend of non-fiction writing.Therefore,based on the macro-analysis of the trend of popularization,this paper borrows a theory from sociology called “Role theory”.For the study of the creative subject,the Role theory is a theoretical frame to analyze the distinctive and differences of the social roles of the writing subjects with the perspectives of “Participation-observation” and “Conflictharmony” as its measure dimensions.Different social roles differ mainly in their choice of creative perspective and value orientation.The contradiction between instrumental and value rationality is always present in the social role-playing of creators.This contradiction is precisely one of the main contradictions that the media needs to resolve in content production in the new media environment.To solve this problem,the solution provided by the popular trend of non-fiction writing is to treat the instrumental rationality and the value rationality correctly and find the proper balance point in the application of the two kinds of rationality,so that they can complement each other,to play a positive role together.The ultimate goal of this approach is to return to the“People-oriented” value orientation.On the one hand,media content producers need to correctly understand the past audience is now the user,on the other hand,they need to grasp the relationship between quality and flow in the process of content production.No matter what kind of media environment,the original intention and goal of media content production should be “People-oriented”.
