In 2015,The Esquire,a pretty famous fashion magazine and its website, built an alliance of non-fiction writing with other seven media institutions, including Tencent,in China. Then, this group and its members launched lots of non-fiction writing works with high qualities in digital platform, such as the Pacific escape. After this,non-fiction writing was be re-focus by public, especially in Chinese journalism. In past decades, the relations between fiction or literature and journalism were argued in journalism and related academic area. The popularity of non-fiction writing in China after 2010 has re-built the academic agenda within journalism and fiction. However, paying attention to this kind of issue is not enough,we should admit that the concept of non-fiction is reflected in work s contents, with realistic time, place, people and events. Those also reveal its journalism characteristic.Journalism is the business or practice of producing and disseminating information about contemporary affairs of general public interest and importance.News tend to simplify complex social processes in ways that emphasize melodrama, that turn a complex set of phenomena into a morality tale of battle between antagonists, often between good guys and bad guys.Argument that whether non-fiction writing should be regarded as a type of journalism practice has existed for a long time.Although it is necessary to think about the rationality of non-fiction in the journalism practice, the advent of new technology, especially the new media technology is constructing a more complicated and flexible social-tech structure,it would influence all social practice, including journalism practice.According to this, argument about the phenomenon of non-fiction writing in the context of new technology is not only the issue of binary relations between fiction and journalism, but the perception of the practice of productions of texts that reveal the objective realities in the new environment, and of the relations between non-fiction writing and regular journalism practice. The author agrees that the non-fiction writing in the new technological environment is not related with traditional journalistic manufacture, especially specials, but a particularly innovated form of writing, which reflects boundary between the journalism, literature and non-fiction work.Unlucky, this academic paper will not analyze all aspects of those relevant problems due to the master degree academic paper, but this paper will focus on the issue of boundary within the practice of non-fiction writing:1.Different boundaries between categories in the production of text and itself,2.The boundaries between the subjective and objective in terms of production of text.In this process, the paper will analyze some typical samples, including the works of the alliance of non-fiction writing,in the method of critical discourse analysis, and compare with the non-fiction works of a Chinese traditional media organization. The paper will perceive this problem based on the text practice and discursive practice.Norman Fairclough,a British linguistic and the Professor of Lancaster University, argues that a series of complicated and flexible social practice and social relation behind some stable text, which include power, culture, institution, ideology, race, gender, identification, and even technology.Almost all practices of text production, including journalism practice and literature creation, should be regarded as particular discursive practices, and relevant discursive practices even social practices can reflect some problems of their social boundary, not merely the problem of power.Régis Debray,a French scholar, thinks that media technology will construct particular special-temporal structure within particular era.We can further the idea that this structure includes the economic, political, cultural aspects, and the form of text practice is particular outcome of co-operation between every aspects above in a social-technological context. The non-fiction writing in the new technological context is neither the tool of literature creation nor mere instruments of journalism practice and the third way exceeded above two.The non-fiction writing based on real events and real people, which reflects the characters of journalism, meanwhile, the narrative and dialog that are used in non-fiction writing reveals the factors of literature.Narratives give order to events and,by interconnecting them, they also provide a schema to qualify action,as well as a linguistic set against which actors may legitimize their actions,in conformity with(but even against)established cultural values.Telling a story is not a form of sociality,it is one of the ways whereby social reality is reproduced, value systems strengthened and behavioral standards confirmed.Social actors use narrative strategies to justify their past actions,to negotiate the meaning of their interaction,to prefigure their future activities and goals.Besides, creating the works of non-fiction in the digital platform and reflecting particular social structure means its difference with traditional journalism and literature. This paper and its analysis of relevant samples conclude that non-fiction writing in the digital platform in China contains lots of individual dialog, and uncertain limitation between particular subjective actors in the text and its production as well as some deep social structure and relation. It also is created in multi-media space. In the next analysis,my focus will be paid on the boundaries in the non-fiction writing. The academic issue will be analyzed in the method of critical discourse analysis, created by Norman Fairclough, and will be divided into three aspects:1.Text analysis,2.Discursive practice,3.Social practice. The first aspect will reveal the boundary of text and its process of creation in the analysis of transitivity. The second aspect will analyze the discursive practice samples and reflect the boundaries between subjective actors. The final aspect will show the analysis of social practice, which followed by the two foregoing aspects, which reflect the social boundary in terms of non-fiction writing in new context. The journalism practice as a discursive practice has been changed in its regulation, rule as well as its institutional structure. It needs to adapt new special-temporal structure.Non-fiction as a new text practice need to be re-convert into journalism practice:based on the interrupted boundary of space and time, the boundary and limitation of journalism practice and its text as well as its subjective actors is be reproduced.
