The Generation And Expression Of Newspaper News Pictures Under The Semiotic Visual Threshold

With the development of science and technology and the acceleration of people's pace of life,efficient and refined information is more and more needed.Text language as the oldest and most commonly used way of information communication in the times and technology driven by the audience can not adapt to the change of information acquisition and reading habits,pictures as the carrier of visual information dissemination has the text does not have the intuitive and easy to read and understand,can better meet the audience to obtain information needs.From the 1930 s to the 1990 s,newspapers began to introduce a large number of pictures to carry out news coverage,the research scene on newspaper news pictures is booming,research literature is blooming everywhere.As a comprehensive "science" of "symbol" and "meaning",semiotics has long been regarded as the general methodology of humanities and social sciences.Against this background,the integration of semiotics and news communication is also on the agenda.The carrying and expression of information emphasized in journalism can be matched to some extent with the carrying and interpretation of meaning in semiotic theory,which undoubtedly helps us to explore a new research path of journalism from the perspective of semiotics.This paper regards pictures as a kind of symbol,combined with semiotics-related theoretical knowledge mainly discusses how to make sense of the production and expression process,the first two chapters of the content focus on the discussion of the form conditions for the establishment of news pictures as symbols,that is,around the basic category of "pictures",to clarify the concept connotation of news pictures,while comparing and distinguishing from other mixed words several groups of word concepts,taking into account the function of introducing news pictures in the process of dissemination,analyzing the composition of newspaper news pictures to be generated,and how to select and combine the angle of the transmitter.In the next chapter,we will explore the ideographic mechanism of newspaper news pictures in the process of information transmission by using the relevant theoretical knowledge system of semiotics,including how the pictures are symbolized in Pierce's three-point mode,and various rhetorical techniques of the epitome,and study the internal development dynamics and external manifestations of audience interpretation from the emergence of pictures to interpretation.Finally,some opinions and suggestions are put forward on the general problems that arise in the process of the dissemination of news and picture information in newspapers,with a view to better guiding the practice.
