| Reporter-type news presenter is one of the common presenters that exist in current TV news.Reporter-type news presenters have the dual identity of the “host” and “reporters” to participatein the columns planning, producing and broadcasting the whole process. They are the newspresenters who are highly integrated into the consciousness of the news and who have a goodinterview comments and a good information processing capacity. The communication behaviorof reporter-type news presenters has a lot of ways, but the most direct way of expression is theirspeech behavior. By using structural semiotics and combining with the analysis of a largenumber of examples, the author is analyzing the speech behavior of the reporter-type newspresenters in detail through the following three chapters.The first chapter is the study of signifying process of reporter-type news presenters’communication behavior. Saussure is one of the founders of semiotics. According to someconcept that Saussure put forward in linguistic research, Roland Barthes summarizes the basicresearch method of structuralism semiotics. According to these methods, the speech behavior ofreporter-type news presenters can be seen as a complete system of signification for depthprofiling. By using the method of comparison of alternate test, we can launch two contrast typesof reporter-type news presenters’ speech acts:“Details and One aspect of news fact”, as well as“Details and Theme”. Detail is the smallest meaning unit of reporter-type news presenters’speech behavior. The descriptive words, the doubt discourse and the comments discourse ofreporter-type news presenters are all based on details. By means of three levels, which are realsystem, direct system of signification (construction of meta-language) and veiled system ofsignification, reporter-type news presenters will show the news process smoothly and eventuallypoint to the theme. The rhetorical system of the level of veiled system of signification can beseen as the “quality library” of reporter-type news presenters. It can help reporters-type newspresenters show the news facts and express the theme better.The second chapter is the study of the basic paradigm of the reporter-type news presenters’communication behavior. According to the study of Saussure and Bart, Foucault directed thestudy of structural semiology towards: the “discourse structure” where people are located willinevitably affect the practice behavior of people. It is similar to the “paradigm” that Thomas Kuhn mentioned. Paradigm is the general rules that people’s practice acts must uphold andfollow in a scientific field. From this point of view, the communication behavior of reporter-typenews presenters is also restricted by a rule. This rule is the basic paradigm of the communicationbehavior of reporter-type news presenters. According to the social context of reporter-type newspresenters, this basic paradigm can be identified as “pay attention to the existence anddevelopment of human”. The meta-language became a key link between the speech behavior ofreporter-type news presenters and the facts of news because of its significance of relaying,selecting and assembling real details. The specific meta-language construction of thecommunication behavior of reporter-type news presenters is affected by the basic paradigm.The third chapter is the research on the production mechanism of the guiding force of publicopinion of reporter-type news presenters. In the common cultural space and on the commonlanguage letter code, the reporter-type news presenters construct their words and perform theirduties “guide public opinion to the society” through their words. The production mechanism ofthe guiding force of public opinion of reporter-type news presenters consists of two processes:one is an interpretation of news events with metaphor, the other is a process that making thenews events associated with widespread fact and producing a general effect with metonymy. Inthe process of public opinion guidance, subjectivity of speech acts and balancing selection in theguidance of public opinion are the important problems that reporter-type news presenters need topay attention to. Only by coordinating the relationship between them and the audience, therelationship between content of their words and objective facts, as well as the relationshipbetween guidance of public opinion and social development, reporter-type news presenters canproduce public opinion and impact on the audience smoothly through the process ofinterpretation and the process of universalization.Epilogue summarizes the communication behavior of reporter-type news presenters fromthe transverse direction and the longitudinal direction, and also discusses the media role and thesocial role that reporter-type news presenters act. In addition, it puts forward the request to theprofessional quality and the professional attainment of reporter-type news presenters. |
