Research On The Protection Of Ancient Books In Jiaxing City Library

Ancient books are the precious heritage of the Chinese nation,and they are also non-renewable cultural resources.How to preserve and use the classics and documents handed down over thousands of years,and how to truly "live the words written in ancient books" are problems that every librarian faces and urgently needs to be solved.Compared with provincial libraries with rich collections and well-equipped facilities,prefecture-level city libraries have limited conditions,and there is a long way to go to protect ancient books.This article selects the Jiaxing City Library in Zhejiang Province as the research object,and hopes that through in-depth research on the protection status of ancient books in the library,it will provide reference for the future development of ancient books protection in prefecture-level city libraries.The first chapter mainly summarizes the collection of ancient books in Jiaxing City Library.Knowing the family background and understanding the characteristics of the collection is a prerequisite for the protection of ancient books.This chapter mainly analyzes the general situation of the existing ancient books from the three aspects of the number,source and document characteristics of the ancient books in the collection.Since the development of Jiajun Library,the collection scale of Jiaxing City Library has continued to expand.The existing collection of ancient books is 92,586 volumes and 12,127 rare books.Among them,the ancient books of local chronicles are of considerable scale and unique value.They are the key protection units of ancient books in the country.The second chapter mainly elaborates the protection status quo of the existing ancient books in the Jiaxing City Library.Through on-site investigations,literature review and other methods,starting from the three perspectives of original protection,regenerative protection and inheritance protection,combined with relevant national standards,elaborated on the library's ancient book library,ancient book restoration,ancient book digital construction,ancient book sorting and publishing,interactive experience of ancient books,and exhibition of ancient books,to understand the protection status of ancient books in the museum in an all-round way.The third chapter mainly analyzes the problems existing in the protection of ancient books in Jiaxing City Library.Comparing the achievements of ancient book protection with relevant industry standards,national policy plans and other public libraries,it is found that Jiaxing City Library still has shortcomings in ancient book restoration,ancient book digitization construction,and ancient book promotion.The reason is closely related to the lack of capital,technology,and personnel input,especially in terms of technology development.The fourth chapter mainly puts forward corresponding suggestions for the protection of ancient books in Jiaxing City Library.As an advanced unit in the protection of ancient books in the country,the Jiaxing City Library should attach great importance to the shortcomings in the protection of ancient books in the next development,actively learn and learn from the excellent cases of ancient book protection,and strengthen the communication and cooperation with all ancient book collection units.To cooperate,continue to introduce professional talents and improve the level of science and technology,and comprehensively build an ancient book protection system that is original,reproducible,and inherited,and set a good example for the protection and construction of ancient books in public libraries at prefecture-level cities.
