The Study On The Collection Of Ancient Books And Its Features In The Library Of Fujian Normal University

Fujian Normal University has experienced gradual merging of former schools,since Mr.Chen Baochen,the famous bibliophile in Fujian,founded Fujian Advanced Normal School in 1907.As one of the national key protection units of ancient books,the library of Fujian Normal University is rich in abundant and valuable ancient books,which have certain special collection characteristics.Fujian Normal University Library plays a significant role in provincial and national ancient books collection,and it also has exerted far-reaching influence on the development of the history of the Fujian Province Library.It is valuable to carry out academic research.This paper conducts a study on the current collection of ancient books in Fujian Normal University in the methods of literature research,induction analysis,field survey and other scientific research methods.Based on the investigation and statistical analysis of the ancient books collected in Fujian Normal University,this paper sums up the characteristics and features of the collection of ancient books.At the same time it puts forward some countermeasures objectively and reasonably to deal with the problems found in the construction of ancient books collection,in the hope of strengthening the management of library books,promoting the use of ancient resources and carrying out the protection of ancient books.Thus,it can play an effective and referential role in terms of enhancing readers' protection awareness.
