Research On The Protection And Development Of Ancient Books In University Libraries

Taking the ancient books collected in the library of Zhengzhou University as the research object,this paper aims to discover the existing problems in the protection and development of ancient books in the library of Zhengzhou University and put forward Suggestions accordingly,so as to provide reference for the future development and protection work.Zhengzhou University Library has a collection of nearly 190,000 ancient books,among which 35 rare books are listed in the national list of rare ancient books,and 72 rare ancient books are listed in the list of rare ancient books in Henan province.As the “national key protection unit for ancient books”,the library of Zhengzhou University bears a great responsibility for the protection of ancient books.This paper sorts out the sources of ancient books in Zhengzhou University Library,and probes into the accumulation of ancient books.At the same time,this paper analyzes the status quo of ancient books in the collection,and reveals the contents of some ancient books listed in the national list of rare ancient books and the list of rare ancient books in Henan province in the library of Zhengzhou University.Through the method of field investigation,the temperature and humidity requirements,ultraviolet protection requirements,fire prevention and anti-theft measures of rare books and ancient books in Zhengzhou University Library were standardized,so as to understand the real situation in as much detail as possible.This paper analyzes the significance of the development of ancient books,and at the same time,discusses the development of ancient books in the library of Zhengzhou University and its achievements.A field survey of the museum revealed problems and gaps in the protection of ancient books and provided solutions.Based on the analysis of the development of ancient books in the library and its achievements,the author puts forward some measures to improve the development of ancient books in the library.For example,accelerating the digitization of ancient books through inter-library cooperation can alleviate the problem of insufficient funds and reduce the duplication of database construction.
