From oral communication,text communication,printing communication,electronic communication to network communication,human communication activities have experienced a long historical development stage.In this process,as the intermediary of both sides of information transmission and reception,media is constantly changing its own means and ways of information transmission under the influence of the development and change of new technology in different times.This change of media has an impact on the way of human communication.People's life has also changed to some extent with the change of the mode of communication.This is the influence of media on people's life,and it is an inevitable phenomenon under the media life.Media not only affects people's communication activities,but also affects people's survival activities and ways of life.The media life under the change of media is actually understood in another way,that is,Media Survival.With the change of communication mode,people's life style has changed passively or actively,forming different living forms.Marshall Mc Luhan believes that in the social sense,media is information.To understand the media is to understand the society.Therefore,from the perspective of media life,the author discusses the problems of people's different living forms under the change of media.This paper mainly studies the video survival of users in social media.This is the most widely used and most popular way of survival in contemporary Internet communication,and video as the most popular symbol of communication is of great research value.Scholar Lan Peng once analyzed and interpreted a series of problems of video based survival in the article video based survival: the media of daily life in the mobile era.Based on this,this paper will continue to conduct in-depth research on the problems of video based survival.The article selects the most common social media in the current Internet communication,which is the more common communication between people.With the beginning of the 21 st century and the gradual popularity of social media,at first people use only text symbols,with the development of social media gradually joined the image symbol,in the text symbol and image symbol of the media use,people's survival form can be called text survival and image survival form.With the birth of new media technology,4G and smart phones,video communication is becoming a social media symbol widely used by people,people under its influence began a new way of life,that is,Video Survival.At present,there is little literature research on the two ways of survival.Therefore,this paper starts with the analysis of the related concepts of video survival,and analyzes the users' survival,reasons and different characteristics of video survival according to the quantitative and qualitative research results of questionnaire survey and in-depth interviews.In this paper,the article adopts the research method of small-scale population,and makes an overall analysis of the research problems by using the research results of a small number of people with typical characteristics.The research object of this paper is the post-80 s people in Shenyang.As adults in the early 21 st century,they have a complete world outlook,values and independent thinking,and grow up together with the development of social media.Secondly,this paper investigates the changes of Video Survival and the other two ways of survival in the past,discusses the impact of media changes on the daily life of the audience,and analyzes the changes of people's living conditions under the change of media.
