On The Alteration Of The Discourse Power For Female Chinese Media Staff

The following dissertation aimed at the alteration of the discourse power for female media staff. The author made a lot of research and investigation on mainland media from newspapers, magazines to broadcasting and television. The author also carried out a lot of work in information collection finding out the research on the female discourse power from mass media still focusing on the objective. That is the female reported, not on the subjective, that is the female media reporters. Little research has been done about the speech constructing abilities of the female media reporters. The following dissertation carries a case study on series of female media staff, analyzing the alteration of their discourse power in the field of mass media on the purpose of speculating on the significance of the long absence of the discourse power for female media staff to a gradual break through the men's domination.
