Research On Zhai Hao's Tongsubian

The object of this paper is the Tongsubian compiled by Qing Dynasty scholar Zhai Hao.This book has thirty eight volumes,divided into thirty eight categories,including astronomy,geography,time series,ethics,and officialdom,etc.The author arranges the dialects and idioms he collected according to categories,and investigates the etymology and meaning of words one by one.Scholars in the past have different views on the book.Because of its compilation style,this article regards Tongsubian as a popular book.On this basis,a comprehensive and detailed investigation of the author,version,style,citation and other issues of the book will be made.Chapter One,on the basis of a comprehensive biography,Chronicles,anthology and other relevant records on,we made a general description of Zhai Hao deeds.Zhai Hao has written many books,but some are preserved and some are lost.At present,there is no comprehensive review of these works.This chapter summarizes the volume,version,content,and citations of Zhai Hao's works in the works of scholars in the Qing Dynasty.By tracing Zhai Hao's deeds and writings,we can achieve the purpose of knowing the author and discussing his time and world.The second chapter analyzes the edition of Tongsubian.This chapter summarizes several known versions of Tongsubian into full text system and section system.In the full text system,the focus is on the similarities and differences between Wubuyizhai version and Zhujianzhai version.It is affirmed that Zhujianzhai version was published later and is not the same edition as the former,and the publication time of this edition is determined after the Xianfeng period in the Qing Dynasty for the first time.In the section system,it has always been said that the Tongsubian in Li Tiaoyuan's Hanhai was published based on Zhai Hao's manuscript.We questioned this opinion and re-identified the nature of this edition as an abridged version.The third chapter examines the creation of Tongsubian.This chapter re-examines the specific issues of the writing time,purpose,style,and characteristics of Zhai Hao's Tongsubian.Special attention should be paid to comparing it with several textual research works of colloquialism that appeared before and after,such as Mao Qiling's Yueyukenqinglu,Liang Tongshu's Zhiyubuzheng,Qian Daxin's Hengyanlu,and so on.It highlights the characteristics of the book Tongsubian with rich materials,well-organized style,and intensive review of textual research.The fourth chapter analyzes the citation of Tongsubian.This chapter introduces the quotation of Tongsubian,based on the standpoint of literary research,focuses on the analysis of popular literary content such as Yuanqu and novels cited therein,and draws the characteristics of Zhai Hao's use of the word "music" and "drama" to specifically refer to different content,and his quotations are completely based on Yuanquxuan.With the help of this picture of knowledge depicted in Tongsubian,it could explains the spread and acceptance of popular literary among the ancient folks.
