IGBT can reduce power consumption and improve operational reliability, electric locomotive is one of the most important applications. However,if IGBT failure will bring great losses,so find and resolve failure as soon as possible have great value. With the rapid development of ADC and IC technology, the design and realization of Data Acquisition System and Data Storage System become feasible,so this paper designed a Running Condition Real-time Monitoring System of IGBT Module based on the above technology. This paper comes from actual project, because of over-current is one of the most common failure of locomotive IGBT power modules, and the main reason is analyzed,short-through between upper and lower bridge is one of the main reason, therefore, the system real-time and synchronous monitoring the gate voltage of upper and lower bridge. In this system, two acquisition channels are isolated and CPLD is main controller,ADC synchronous sampling gate voltage signal of upper and lower bridge, then the data is sent to the Data Storage Module by optical fiber.FPGA is the main controller of Data Storage Module, the SDRAM is used for data cache,FLASH is used to store valid cached data. Finally, use USB 2.0 interface connected with the host computer, graphically display the valid data stored in FLASH.This paper mainly completed the following content. The hardware circuit and HDL design of Data Acquisition Module, the hardware circuit and HDL design of Optical Transmission Module, the hardware circuit and part of HDL design of Data Storage Module. The final test results show that the system with excellent performance and met the design requirement of synchronization and real-time data acquisition and storage.
