In recent years, the frequency-hopping technology is widely used in field of the militarybecause it has the advantages of strong anti-jamming capability, anti-intercepted, anti-fadingability and so on. There are many new challenges in research of frequency hopping signal withthe development of frequency-hopping. In order to obtain the frequency hopping informationcorrectly, large amounts of frequency hopping data needs to be acquired, stored, and analyzed. That requires high performance data acquisition and recording system. This paper presents the architecture of a high-speed frequency-hopping radio signalacquisition and recording system which based on FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) andDDR2-SDRAM (Double Data Rate2Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory)technology. According to the characteristics of frequency-hopping signals, the index andconstruction of system is put forward.Firstly, Pre-processing technology is used to handle the radio RF output signal to meet therequirements of high-speed ADC chip (ADC08D1000). Then, hopping radio signal is sampledand sent to the monolithic DDR2-SDRAM device. At last, the data is called back by the controllerof system for analysing.Depending on the system proposal, the idea of top-down is used, and the system is dividedinto a series of sub-modules. After all of sub-modules achieve their design functions, we puttogether the modules. Through simulation, on-line debugging and timing analysing, it is derivedthat the design can meet the high-speed data acquisition and recording system performance.
