With the proposal of "Healthy China 2030",health information literacy is actively promoted,and the national health literacy is gradually improving.In the early 21 st century,the Medical Library Association puts forward the concept of health information literacy,emphasizing the difference between health literacy and health information literacy.Based on this,domestic scholars also point out that health information literacy should be the key to improving national health literacy and the high attention to health information literacy brings new service growth points to libraries.However,On the one hand,public users' health information literacy is uneven,and some users lack a correct understanding of the library's health information services,their own health information needs and health information literacy,so they cannot make good use of library resources to improve their health literacy.On the other hand,libraries do not have a continuous and stable health information literacy education system to guide users to improve their health information literacy.Public libraries facing challenges and opportunities in the progress of health information education.Based on the connotation of health information literacy,this paper analyzes its composition,collects the activities and cases of health information literacy education carried out by public libraries at home and abroad,interviews the librarians in charge of health information literacy education activities,and investigates the health information status of 306 public library users and their views on health information literacy education in libraries,so as to put forward the optimized health information literacy education system,and the corresponding suggestions for the health information literacy service of the public library,that is,to define the concept of the health information literacy education centered on the users,to optimize the quality of the health information education,to do a good job in ensuring the resources of the health information literacy education,to strengthen the construction of the teachers' team of the health information literacy education,to explore the cooperation of multiple institutions,to improve the education evaluation and feedback mechanism to promote users to actively and effectively access to health information and improve users' health literacy.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter focuses on the topic of the thesis and elaborates on the research content,methods and innovative points.The second chapter is related to the explanation of the concept,and discusses the groundwork for later;The third chapter presents the current health information literacy education activities of domestic libraries through investigation,and finds out the users' views on health information literacy education of libraries through questionnaires.Chapter four puts forward the education system which takes the education content as the core,the diversified education mode as the guarantee,and the multitype health information resources as the basis,and for the characteristics of the audience.Chapter five puts forward some measures to solve the problems in the process of carrying out health information literacy education in libraries.Chapter six is the conclusion of this paper.
