Content Analysis Of Public Library Health Information Service Activities

More and more attention has been paid to the health information services provided by public libraries,As a non-profit service institution of social culture and education,library not only has the advantage in information resources,but also has the predominance in environmental space,which is the basic condition for public library to carry out health information service.Public libraries have the ability and obligation to provide credible health information services to the public.At present,domestic public libraries have carried out a lot of practice in this field.The author took public libraries in provincial capitals as the research object,The content analysis method,network survey method and literature research method were used to carry out the investigation in two stages.In the first stage,the author makes an investigation and statistics on the health information service activities of domestic urban public libraries,Such as online network health information resources?health information service mode and content?time and frequency?department? partners?service objects,etc.The second stage is mainly based on the background of COVID-19 epidemic as a public health emergency,This paper introduces how urban public libraries in China provide health information service to the public based on existing information resources,In order to highlight the public library in a special period of responsibility.Then,the author makes an in-depth analysis of the characteristics of health information service activities in public libraries,and summarizes some problems existing in health information service activities in domestic public libraries based on the results of comprehensive investigation and statistics,and analyzes the underlying reasons behind these problems.Finally,the author puts forward some targeted optimization strategies for the health information service carried out by the library,aiming to explore the new expansion points and service forms of the library,so as to enhance the health service value of the public library as a spatial dimension.
