In 1919,the Peking University Journalism Research Association founded the first journalism journal,Journalism Weekly.Until 1949,43 journalism journals published throughout the Republic of China.Academic journals,as part of the discipline system, are carriers of journalistic knowledge. The core research question of this research is: What kind of changes have occurred in the knowledge of journalism published in these 43 types of journalism journals, and from the perspective of the disciplinarity to examine the reasons that affect this change. At the beginning of the 19 th century,China's first journal,Journalism Weekly, was systematically published. It was the first journal in China to promote "journalism".It only released a "thesis" in each issue, focusing on "The Spread of Journalism".With the development of journalism in China and the training of journalists,an academic group devoted to journalism academics appeared in 1927,and the first journal in China to specialize in journalism research-Journalism was published as China's first specialized journalism journal. With the purpose of "researching journalism scholarship and developing journalism",the journalists which biased in content and research on the theory of journalism, demonstrating the legitimacy of journalism research. The period from 1920 to 1936 was a boom period for the development of journalism journals.During this period, there were more than 20 journals. The main contents published in these journals include discussions on current journalism, the development of journalists, and the problems that journalism faced at the time. Therefore, journalism research has given way to the development of journalism by promoting the development of knowledge, and journalism journals dominated by different journalism concepts have emerged, forming a diverse academic community of journalism.Because the Kuomintang suppressed the publication of Marxist journalism theories, and the KMT's idea of party newspapers did not develop. In this period, news theories of European and American journalism were applying to solve the practical problems of the Chinese newspaper industry.During the Anti-Japanese War,the topics discussed in journalism, journals were more oriented towards the responsibilities of journalism in wartime and what journalists should do.It was founded to study wartime journalism and train wartime journalists.Journalism journals have assumed the function of journalism education to a certain extent and have begun to develop journalism in China consciously.China's journalism began to learn from the West and embarked on the path of expanding its journalism. In the later period, journals focusing on the theory of developing journalism appeared. However, due to the lack of a core research group, there was no theoretical development and change. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the content of journalism journals during this period focused on the research of journalism and journalism theory and began to "theorize" journalism. The Journalism Quarterly,Central Daily Newspaper, and Journalism founded by journalists with Ma Xingye as the core aim to establish a theoretical system of Chinese journalism, representing succession and response of the theory. However, the chaotic situation in the KMT and the terminal of Kuomintang rule destroyed this hope.In conclusion, the content constructed by journalism journals during the period of the Republic of China was always affected by the environment.Due to the Kuomintang's suppression of journalism journals that discussed inclusive theory,Marxist journalism theory could only develop in the gap.The dominant theory is European and American journalism theory, and the latter is the KMT's view of the party newspaper.Under the influence of "practice for the world",the purpose of journalism journals in the Republic of China was always to serve the "development of journalism".This situation led to the lack of "academic standard" in the research of journalism journals in the Republic of China. It is always driven by researching news business and solving practical problems of journalism.
