Analysis Of "The Belt And Road" Reports In Lianhe Zaobao

Overseas Chinese media is an important part of the “Belt and Road” initiative.It has unique advantages in transmitting Chinese voices and shaping China’s image.It plays an important role in reporting on the “Belt and Road” initiative.As an important neighbor of China and a core member of ASEAN,Singapore is a key point for the “Belt and Road” to move southward.As the largest and most representative overseas Chinese comprehensive daily in Singapore,Lianhe Zaobao has a wide range of readers all over the world.This thesis is composed of four chapters: Chapter One finds out through literature review that there is currently more research on the “Belt and Road” in the field of news communication,including research on the “One Belt and One Road” news reporting framework for a certain media or several media.However,there is no relevant article on the framework analysis of the “Belt and Road” reported by the Singapore Chinese-language media Lianhe Zaobao.This study provides a reference for understanding the current status of “One Belt,One Road”reporting by Chinese media in Singapore and even the ASEAN region.The second chapter takes the three levels of Zang Guoren’s news framework as the theoretical basis,and uses the framework analysis method to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze the “One Belt,One Road” report of the Singapore Chinese-language media Lianhe Zaobao,analyze the reports of Lianhe Zaobao in terms of the main body,genre,length,structure,source,and tone of the report.The main purpose is to analyze the "Belt and Road" report in the overseas Chinese media Lianhe Zaobao.Chapter three builds on the analysis of the framework of Chapter two and constructs the main news framework of the Lianhe Zaobao on the “Belt and Road” report,and obtains the characteristics of the Lianhe Zaobao on the “Belt and Road” reporting framework.Finally,the influential factors that form the unique news framework of Lianhe Zaobao are discussed from four aspects: political environment,national interests,social culture and media organization.The study believes that the Lianhe Zaobao’s report on the “Belt and Road” presents amore obvious reporting framework: taking the opportunity and cooperation framework as the leading factor,the risk and resistance framework as the subsidiary,and the competition and challenge framework as the supplementary framework.As the most influential and representative Chinese newspaper in Singapore,Singapore’s political environment,Singapore’s domestic interests,Singapore’s domestic social culture,media organizations,and journalists have formed the “Belt and Road” news frame of Lianhe Zaobao.
