This hesis studied the reporting framework of Financial Times(Asian edition)and Wall Street Journal(Asian edition)in China's One Belt and One Road Initiative.With content analysis and text analysis on the reports containing coverage referring to the Belt and Road Initiative from March.28,2015 to March 28,2016,this thesis tried to find out the similarities and differences in the reporting frameworks of the two Newspapers.Based on that,the thesis also studied the charactarisics of reportings involving the Belt and Road Initiative by the two mainstream newspapers of western world to achieve a further understanding on the reporting feature of news related to China delivered by foreign media,and to research the cause to such framework and gain a general view on the coverage framework.With all the analysis,the research found out that the different reporting frameworks exsit in the two Newspapers.Generally speaking,the Financial Times with Great Britain blood paid more attention to the development of the "One belt and One Road" Initiative,while the Wall Street Journal,which is considered more as a professional financial newspaper than any other it could be,showed more interests in the Asian Infrastracture Investment Bank.Hardly noticiable as it is,the different choosing on news of the two Newspapers still deserves attention.This research also found out that,on the coverages related to "One belt and One Road",the two Newspapers gave more attention to the impact on the existing financial system and International order brought along the strategy.It is contended that,the strategy,on one hand,is meant to serve the economic development of China by transferring industrial surplus and increasing foreign investment,on the other hand,aims to seek for higher International rank and expand China's influence.The ethnic problem was also involved when reporting the strategy.
