The Study On Influencing Factors Of Information Source Selection In Low Health Information Literacy Population

With the enhancement of people's health awareness,their demand for health information is also increasing.Users need to obtain more health information.The appearance of health websites,health social media,etc.has enriched the user's choice of health information source,but also imposes higher requirements for users to choose appropriate health information source.Existing studies stress more on the impact of user's gender,age,occupation and other demographic characteristics,as well as the authority and readability of information content on the selection of user's information source,whereas few considerations have been given to the impact of health information literacy on user choice.The Outline of Healthy China 2030 Plan takes the improvement of national health literacy as an important goal.According to the barrel effect,improving people with lower health information literacy level is the key to achieve this goal.It is necessary to explore the factors that influence the selection of health information sources by people with lower health information literacy,so as to help them better choose health information sources and solve practical health problems.In the case that the current research on users' health information source selection lacks attention to the population with low health information literacy,this paper takes the infant health information as example and selects the population with low health information literacy as the research object.Then factors that influence the selection behavior of health information sources are explored,and finally constructs a theoretical model to enrich the research on the selection behavior of users' health information sources.The research content of this paper includes the following three aspects:(1)According to The Maternal and Child Health Literacy-Basic Knowledge and Skills,a health information literacy assessment questionnaire was proposed based on three dimensions:personal basic situation investigation,user health literacy evaluation and user information literacy evaluation.By analyzing the mean value of the collected evaluation data and fitting the ROC curve,it is determined that the evaluation score is lower than 80 as a user with low health information literacy.According to this standard,a total of 63 users were interviewed for this study;(2)This article compiles an interview outline based on the integrated information source selection influencing factor model.By interviewing 41 low health information literacy users,the researchers obtained an initial low health information literacy population information source selection influencing factor model including information sources,tasks,external characteristics,and information source selection subjects.(3)The researchers designed a model verification questionnaire and used SPSS Statistics 20.0 to verify the influencing factors in the model and the influencing relationship between the factors,and obtained the following conclusions.First,according to the degree of influence on users,each dimension is sorted from large to small as follows:information content>information source>subject of information source selection>task>external environment.Second,the reliability,timeliness,consistency,authority,relevance,and practicality of the information content dimension influence the choice of users.There is a mutual influence between these several influencing factors.The interactivity and the number of advertisements in the information source dimension affect the user's choice of information source.The number of advertisements also negatively affects reliability.Third,the family role in the external environment dimension,the task type in the task dimension,and the occupation and personal experience under the subject of information source selection will all influence users' information source selection.Fourth,whether users have received higher education will cause differences in users' information sources selection.The health information literacy assessment questionnaire proposed in this study,which enriched the health information literacy assessment tools and maintains practicability,has been proved by the reliability and validity test.The proposed influencing factor model can be supplemented and modified in research of information source selection of other types of health information,which is extensible and enriches the research content of information source selection.
