In 2017,the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China promulgated the "General High School Biology Curriculum Standards(2017)"(named as the new curriculum standards),when the advancement of China's senior high school curriculum reform.for corresponding the requirements of the new curriculum standards and implement the core literacy of biology,some related new textbook were published.In the autumn of 2019,the new textbook "High School Biology" was published by People's Education Press,and used in some provinces.However,Guangxi still uses the old version of the textbook for a non-curricular reform Province.In this study,the new and old textbooks were compared and analyzed,the changes of the new textbooks were found.further more,some teaching plans were made for better understanding and using the new textbook.Literature analysis,comparative,and comparative conclution analysis were used to compare the new high school biology textbook Genetic and Evolution(2019)and(2004).A systematic comparison is made from seven aspects: cover,table of contents,the content of the text,the column setting,illustrations,the textbook homework,and the experimental design.After that,theadvantages of the new textbook were summarized,and more works focusedon the between the textbook setting and the core literacy of biology.The new textbook inherits the layout ideas of the old textbook.The chapter content were improved and adjusted based on the continuation of the old textbooks.The new textbooks came out after the promulgation of the new curriculum standards.The new textbooks fully reflect the new curriculum standards' requirements.They are consistent with the fundamental mission of the new curriculum standards,the teaching content of the core literacy of the subject.The new textbooks are centered on the implementation of the core literacy of the subject.The layout of the column is centered on the general concept of biology,and the knowledge system is completed;it is student-centered,reflecting the scientific,contemporary,and readable.Two major changes in the new textbook are selected for teaching design to provide practical cases for teachers.The comparative analysis of new and old textbooks can help teachers finding the textbooks' changes and provide a theoretical basis for teachers' preparation and teaching.Finally,some suggestions on how to better use the textbooks were presented based on the changes and updates of the new textbooks,summarizes the characteristics of the new textbook.
