Today,with the rapid change of knowledge,education pays more and more attention to people’s comprehensive ability,and innovation has become an important part of education at all stages in various countries and regions.Therefore,teaching with core literacy as the purpose and target is being put into practice in various countries.In 2017,China’s Ministry of Education issued the Biology Curriculum Standards for Ordinary Senior High Schools(2017 Edition).Subsequently,new textbooks based on this theory were completed and published,and has been used in different degrees in various regions.This paper takes Biology Compulsory 1 Molecules and Cells,a high school biology textbook published in five versions(People’s Education Press,Beijing Normal University Press,Shanghai Science and Technology Education Press,Jiangsu Phoenix Education Press and Zhejiang Science and Technology Press)on the market as the research object.The structure of teaching materials(including the whole structure,the structure of the chapters,section structure),the content of the teaching material(including knowledge system,home pages,biological experiments,scientific inquiry activity,homework,and after-the-chapter summary),the teaching material of column setup(including the number of columns,column type and content),textbook illustrations(the number of illustrations,the quality of the illustrations)comparison and analysis,Thus,the characteristics of five editions of textbooks are obtained:In terms of structure compilation,the textbooks of all editions are roughly the same.In terms of content selection and organization,the teaching materials of People’s Education Press Edition,Beijing Normal University Press edition and Shanghai Science and Technology Education Press Edition are all compiled in the form of total scores,while the teaching materials of Jiangsu Phoenix Education Press Edition and Zhejiang Science and Technology Press Edition are compiled in the form of total scores.In terms of content presentation,the textbook published by People’s Education Press has a variety of columns and various forms of activities.Meanwhile,it pays attention to shaping and cultivating students’ humanistic qualities of patriotism.Subject teaching strengthens the relationship between life and knowledge transfer ability of students by using real situations;the illustrations in the textbook are rich in type,beautiful in color collocation and clear in quality.The textbook published by Beijing Normal University is more inclined to convey to students the concept of respecting facts and evidence,with a complete knowledge system and based on students’ cognitive laws.Meanwhile,it also attaches importance to students’ cognitive development and paying attention to students at different levels also are its feature.The textbook published by Shanghai Science and Technology Education Press emphasizes the process of scientific inquiry and develops students’ scientific thinking through various activities and compiling textbooks with the history of science as the main line to promote students’ active learning.Thus,it is good at using mathematical models such as tables and charts to train students’ imagination ability.The knowledge content of Jiangsu Phoenix Education Press version is deep and broad,chapter system is integrated and emphasis on students’ active thinking,promoting students’ independent inquiry.The textbooks of Zhejiang Science and Technology Edition attaches importance to the arrangement of knowledge logic,and the text content is more scientific and rigorous.Teaching material column is fixed and single,paying more attention to knowledge extension;illustrations are few in numbers and not closely related to life.
