As a natural science,biology has more and more influence on society,economy and human life.In 2017,the ministry of education released the latest standard of biology curriculum in ordinary senior high schools.The basic concept of the curriculum includes that core literacy is the purpose,the content focuses on big concepts,the teaching process emphasizes practice,and the academic level promotes development.Among them,the "core literacy as the purpose" and "teaching process to practice" clearly point out the close relationship between students' learning and life during the design and implementation of the curriculum.Biology teaching enables students to adapt to the needs of the future society and life,and to solve practical problems in life.Biology teaching material is an important carrier of life-oriented teaching.By comparing and analyzing the setting and selection of life-oriented teaching content of biology teaching material in China and the United States,the paper finds out their respective characteristics and draws on each other's strengths to make up for their weeknesses.First of all,Using the method of literature investigation,comparison research method and content analysis method,we seriously studied molecular and cellular and genetic and evolutionary,which published by people's education press in China and science discovery--the power of life published by Zhejiang education press.This paper makes a macro comparison of the two editions of biology textbooks between China and the United States in terms of the content scope and style of the textbooks,and makes a detailed comparative analysis of the selection and setting of life-oriented teaching materials in the two editions of biology textbooks between China and the United States in terms of picture content,reading content,activity content and text content.Secondly,on the basis of comparative analysis of two version of biology teaching material,drawing lessons from the American life of teaching content in the biology teaching material selection and Settings as well as the application in the teaching material,we can get some enlightenment for our country's writing of the life-oriented teaching in biology teaching material content and biological activation teaching.It includes changing education concept and teaching methods,expanding teaching content close to life,creating life learning situation,paying attention to life experiment design,according to the school,the network,the local resources,increasing the class interesting and characteristic.Combined with the characteristics of biology classroom teaching in China and the author's teaching experience during the internship,the case optimization design of two typical life-related courses "sugar and lipid in cells" and "humangenetic diseases" was carried out in the textbook.It is hoped that this study can provide some suggestions for the compilation of biology textbooks and the classroom life teaching in china.
