The development of an economy is closely related to the extent of its exploitation of the ocean,and a lot of attention has been paid to the exploitation of the ocean by all countries.The ocean,which accounts for about 71%of the total surface area of the earth,is being watched by almost every country.In the previous era,China's thought of valuing land and light sea caused serious consequences in modern times.Today,China follows the trend of the world and puts forward the strategy of building a powerful marine country.It is imperative to enhance the weak marine consciousness of the people.The youth period is the golden period of learning.The history discipline has its own uniqueness and irreplaceable when it introduces the broad and brilliant marine culture in ancient China and the humiliating marine history in modern times.The cultivation of marine consciousness in the teaching of history in junior high school can improve the students' understanding and concern for the sea,enhance the core quality of history,help them to establish a correct view of the sea,and provide a steady stream of talents for the strategic construction of the country's maritime power.The main purpose of this paper is to investigate and analyze the current situation of the students' marine consciousness,to sort out the standard of compulsory education history curriculum and the contents of marine consciousness in the current unified edition of junior high school history textbook of W middle school,taking W Middle School in Huludao City,Liaoning Province as a case through questionnaire survey and literature research.This paper shows how to enforce the means of consolidating students' marine consciousness in the extracurricular events of history course,in order to infiltrate the relevant marine consciousness in the history teaching of W Middle School,and to raise the level of history knowledge of high school students.In addition,four teaching cases are designed as extension:"classroom teaching of the Sino Japanese War","historical materials study of the Beiyang navy","social practice of visiting Zhang Xueliang's port building monument",and "problem exploration of strengthening coastal defense".
