Research On The Cultivation Of Marine Consciousness In History Teaching Of Junior Middle School

As early as 2000 years ago,Dimistocles,the "father of the navy" of ancient Greece,recognized the importance of the sea for national development.He once said that "whoever controls the sea can walk alone in the world".The 21 st century is an era of oceans.Human beings are increasingly dependent on the oceans.The development and utilization of marine resources are closely related to human life and the rise and fall of the nation.With the development of the times,a dream of thousands of years that has touched the soul of the mainland nation has finally been realized.The Communist Party of China and the Chinese government are increasingly aware of the importance of managing the sea.The realization of China’s socialist modernization is also closely linked with the sea.The report of the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly stated that "improve the ability to develop marine resources,develop the marine economy,protect the marine ecological environment,resolutely safeguard the country’s marine rights and interests,and build a marine power".The 19 th National Congress also proposed to accelerate the building of a "marine power".It can be seen that the Party and the government have recognized the important strategic position of developing marine undertakings and carrying out marine construction.China has a coastline of more than 18000 kilometers,a total of 370000 square kilometers of inland and territorial waters,numerous islands and a "blue land" of 3 million square kilometers.It is a truly maritime power.Historically,China was once the center of the world economy and culture,with a brilliant land and sea Silk Road.Chinese people have taken the initiative to go abroad and embrace the sea.Since the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the feudal dynasty has been imprisoned by land thinking,pursued the policy of "seclusion",and gradually moved away from the sea.The development gap between China and the world has gradually widened.The Chinese nation,which once had the strongest maritime armed forces in the Western Pacific in history,was defeated in the Opium War in the face of the Western ships and guns,and degenerated into a semi colonial and semi feudal society,bringing China more than 100 years of humiliation memories.In2013,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China put forward the strategic concept of "the Belt and Road".With the arrival of the marine era,the economic development of all countries is closely related to the ocean,and China is no exception.Therefore,whether we can better safeguard China’s marine rights and interests,promote marine development and utilization,and build a marine power has become the task entrusted to us by the times.Most feudal dynasties in Chinese history focus on land rather than sea.Under the influence of this historical tradition,China’s national marine consciousness is relatively weak,and the lack of public marine consciousness will hinder the construction of China’s marine power to a certain extent.Therefore,it is urgent to strengthen the cultivation of people’s marine awareness.As the future of the country and the nation,middle school students’ basic education must be the top priority in cultivating marine awareness.Strengthening marine awareness and marine knowledge education for middle school students is related to the implementation of China’s marine strategy.This article will discuss how to strengthen the education and cultivation of middle school students’ marine consciousness in the classroom based on the characteristics of history.The author is located in Shanxi Province,which is in the inland of China.Compared with the eastern coastal provinces,the people’s marine consciousness is weaker.Based on the questionnaire survey of five schools in Jincheng,Shanxi Province,this paper analyzes that Jincheng,Shanxi Province is located in the mainland,lacking in marine resources,and its marine awareness is very weak.Therefore,it is necessary to strengthen the cultivation and education of students’ marine awareness.In the history course,the marine awareness education for junior high school students should include the following main areas: marine economy(trade)awareness,marine cultural exchange awareness,and marine sovereignty awareness.Based on the relevant content of the history textbook compiled by the Ministry of Education,this paper discusses how to strengthen the cultivation and education of marine awareness of junior high school students in the history classroom through the design of lesson plans.It will explore the prosperity of overseas trade in the Song Dynasty and strengthen the cultivation of marine economic(trade)awareness through the Economic Development in the Song Dynasty;The Foreign Relations of the Ming Dynasty-the influence of Zheng He’s voyages to the West on cultural transmission to strengthen the cultivation of marine cultural awareness;The relationship between the failure of the Opium War and the awakening of China’s sea power consciousness is to cultivate the sea power consciousness.As mankind has entered the 21 st century,the development and utilization of the ocean has played a prominent role in the national development strategy,while the foundation of marine education for our citizens is weak,and the majority of our citizens,especially young people,are still weak in marine awareness.The cultivation of marine awareness for junior high school students cannot be separated from classroom education.Strengthening the cultivation of marine awareness has become an unshirkable responsibility of history teachers.
