A Report On The C-E Translation Of Longchiwan Battle Memorial Hall In Lixian County,Longnan,Gansu Province

This report is about a translation of Longchiwan Battle Memorial Hall in Li Xian County,Longnan,Gansu Province,which includes the introduction of the Second Red Army in the battle of Longnan Lixian County important materials.It belongs to the red tourism publicity materials.The translator was commissioned to choose Longchiwan Battle Memorial Hall in Lixian County,Longnan,Gansu Province as the subject of translation text,and analyzed the original text with the Skopos Theory of Nord’s translation function.The purpose of this translation project is to introduce the historical background and strategic significance of the Longchiwan Battle to the outside world through the translation of the selected text,so as to better spread the spirit of the Red Revolution,and promote the coordinated economic and social development of the old revolutionary base area of Longchiwan in Lixian County.This report gives a brief introduction to the background and significance of the translation task firstly,and then gives a description of the task,explaining the source of the task and the requirements of the entrusting party.The next part is the translation process,in which pre-translation includes translation plans,translation theories,translation methods,translation tools and glossary of terms.The while translation stage includes quality control and implementation of specific translation steps.Post-translation reflection includes self-evaluation,peer-evaluation and entrusting party evaluation.The fourth part is case analysis,this part is the core of the paper,according to the characteristics of the source text,also combined with the translation Skopos theory,and use the Skopos Rule,Intratextual Coherence Rule and Intertextual Coherence Rule for case analysis.Finally,the conclusion is that Skopos theory is an effective way to enrich and spread culture,but in the process of translation the translator should follow its principles,so that the translation can be accepted by more audiences.In addition,the translator summarized and reflected on the gains and shortcomings in the process of translation,with a view to continuously enriching translation theories,strengthening translation practice and improving translation practical ability in future work.Our country has made great efforts to develop the red tourism culture,hoping that the translation can provide reference for similar texts and deepen our understanding as well as the application of translation theories.
