| With globalization and the development of China’s economy,Internet finance is playing an increasingly important role,not only injecting fresh blood into traditional financial markets,but also facilitating people’s lives.Thanks to the development of internet,the auto finance market is booming and becomes increasingly international.In the modern era,there is a strong demand for the translation of financial texts,especially those in the auto finance industry.This translation practice report is based o n the New Retail Back Office Business Requirements Book translated by the author during an internship at an auto finance company.This document mainly describes the changes in the core system operated by the auto finance company.This report is divided into four parts.The first chapter introduces translation tasks,and describes the background of this translation project,the features of text as well as the requirements of the translation project.The second one discusses some issues in the process of pre-translation,translation,and post-translation.The third chapter discusses the guiding theory--Skopos Theory.Under the guidance of skopos theory,the author summarizes three translation principles as the guidance of this translation report: skopos rule,internal coherence and fidelity rule.The fourth chapter is the main part of the translation report.The author analyzes the characteristics of vocabulary and sentences in text.Under the guidance of skopos theory,the author follows the three principles of translation and use different methods of translation such as linear translation,reversal translation and active and passive voices to make the translation faithful to the original text and ensure the profession and logic of the translation.Finally,the author summarizes the translation project,expounds the guiding role of skopos theory,and sums up the translation experience accumulated during translation.The author hopes this report can provide a reference for one majoring in translation and interested in financial English translation. |
