Objective:Observe and research the clinical effect of "Tiaoshen Tongfu" acupuncture combined with scalp acupuncture on post-stroke constipation.Methods:60 patients who were diagnosed with post-stroke constipation from February 2020 to February 2021 in the acupuncture department of the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of TCM were selected and then randomly assigned to two groups, observation group and control group, which has 30 patients each group. The two groups were treated with conventional medicine for cerebrovascular disease of acupuncture department. While the observation group received "Tiaoshen Tongfu" acupuncture method combined with scalp acupuncture method, the control group simply accepted "Tiaoshen Tongfu" acupuncture method. Both of the groups were treated with acupuncture treatment once a day, with 6 days as a course of treatment, with a 1-day interval between treatment sessions, for a total of two courses of treatment.Firstly the research compared the general data(age, course of disease, gender)of the two groups to analyze if there was a statistically significant difference between them.Secondly compared the clinical effects and the changes of the Cleveland Constipation Score(CCS),China Stroke Scale(CSS),Bathel Index Score(BI)before and after treatment.Results:1.The data of the two groups before treatment has good comparability(p >0.05);2.After two courses of treatment, the scores including CCS,CSS and Barthel index were obviously improved than before, and there was a statistically significant difference between them(p<0.05);3.Only the CCS score showed statistically significant difference between the two groups after treatment(p <0.05),but the data of the Barthel index score and the CSS score didn’t show statistically significant difference(p >0.05);4.Comparing curative effect of two groups after treatment, the observation group is better than the control group and the difference also has statistical significance(p < 0.05).Conclusion:Compared with "Tiaoshen Tongfu" acupuncture method,"Tiaoshen Tongfu" acupuncture combined with scalp acupuncture can more effectively improve the symptom of constipation. However,in terms of the improvement of activities of daily living and neurologic impairment, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups."Tiaoshen Tongfu" acupuncture combined with scalp acupuncture is a reasonable and effective treatment of post-stroke constipation, which is valuable to clinical application and further reasearch.
