| Objective: The clinical efficacy of warm acupuncture and moxibution combined with flash cupping in the treatment of intractable facial paralysis by observing the changes of the degree of facial paralysis in patients with intractable facial paralysis before and after treatment with house brackmann(H-B)facial nerve function classification scale,facial disability index(FDI)score scale and symptom and sign quantitative scale.Methods: According to the random number table method,90 patients with intractable facial paralysis were randomly divided into three groups: group A(acupuncture combined with flash cupping method),group B(warm acupuncture combined with flash cupping method)and group C(warm acupuncture combined with flash cupping method),30 cases in each group.The selected acupoints and course of treatment of the three groups were the same.Group A was treated with acupuncture combined with flash cupping,that is,after acupuncture,local acupoints were selected for flash cupping.Group B was treated with warm needling,that is,after general needling,Yifeng point was selected for warm needling.On the basis of group B,group C was combined with flash cupping method,that is,flash cupping method was used after acupuncture.Acupuncture and warm acupuncture were given once a day for 30 minutes each time.Flash cupping was given every other day for 6 days as a course of treatment.After each course of treatment,one day was taken off for a total of 8 courses.The changes and clinical efficacy of H-B facial nerve function grading scale,facial disability index(FDI)score scale and symptom and sign scale were observed before and after treatment.Results: 1.By statistical analysis,there was no significant difference in general information(gender,age,course of disease,etc.),H-B facial nerve function classification,facial disability index(FDI)score,symptom and sign score among the three groups before treatment(P > 0.05),which was comparable.2.Comparison of H-B facial nerve function grading scale among the three groups: after treatment,H-B facial nerve function grading of three groups were significantly improved compared with that before treatment(P < 0.05),indicating that the treatment methods of three groups have certain curative effect on the improvement of intractable facial paralysis;However,after treatment,the H-B facial nerve function grade of group C was significantly better than that of group A and B,which indicated that warm acupuncture combined with flash cupping method had more advantages in the treatment of refractory facial paralysis than that of acupuncture combined with flash cupping method and warm acupuncture group.There was no statistical significance between group A and group B after treatment(P > 0.05),indicating that the curative effect of the two groups in the treatment of intractable facial paralysis was similar.3.Comparison of three groups of facial disability index(FDI)score scale: after treatment,the three groups of patients’ FDI scores were significantly higher than those before treatment(P <0.05),and the three groups of patients’ FDIS scores were significantly lower than those before treatment(P < 0.05);But after treatment,the FDIP score of group C was significantly higher than that of group A and group B,and the FDIS score of group C was significantly lower than that of group A and group B,indicating that warm acupuncture combined with flash cupping method is superior to acupuncture combined with flash cupping method group and warm acupuncture group in improving facial muscle function and social psychological state.The comparison between group A and group B after treatment(P > 0.05)showed that the two groups had the same effect in improving facial muscle function and social psychological state.4.Comparison of symptoms and signs of three groups: the scores of symptoms and signs of three groups before and after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment(P < 0.05);After treatment,the scores of symptoms and signs in group C were significantly lower than those in groups A and B(P < 0.05),indicating that the effect of warm acupuncture combined with flash cupping in the treatment of intractable facial paralysis was better than that of acupuncture combined with flash cupping and warm acupuncture groups.The comparison between group A and group B after treatment(P > 0.05)showed that the two groups had the same effect in improving the symptoms and signs of facial nerve damage.5.Comparison of clinical efficacy of three groups: after treatment,according to statistics,in group A of 30 patients,1case was cured,10 cases were markedly effective,11 cases were effective,8 cases were invalid,the total effective rate was 73.33%;in group B of 30 patients,1 case was cured,9 cases were markedly effective,14 cases were effective,6 cases were invalid,the total effective rate was 80.00%;in group C of 30 patients,8 cases were cured,13 cases were markedly effective,7 cases were effective,2 cases were invalid,the total effective rate was 93.33%.There was no significant difference in clinical efficacy between group C and group A and B(P < 0.05),and there was no significant difference between group A and group B(P > 0.05).Conclusion: 1.Warm acupuncture combined with flash cupping,warm acupuncture and acupuncture combined with flash cupping have certain curative effect on refractory facial paralysis,but warm acupuncture combined with flash cupping has the best curative effect.2.Compared with acupuncture combined with flash cupping and warm acupuncture,warm acupuncture combined with flash cupping can more effectively improve the facial expression muscle,regulate the body function,improve the social and psychological state,and promote the recovery of the damaged facial nerve.3.Warm acupuncture combined with flash cupping method is effective,simple and safe in the treatment of intractable facial paralysis. |
