Objective: to evaluate the clinical efficacy of needle lift acupuncture in the treatment of intractable facial paralysis. To observe whether this method can improve the cure rate of patients and reduce the occurrence of recurrence and sequelae, and to provide a theoretical basis for the clinical needle lift acupuncture.Methods:60 patients with intractable facial paralysis were selected from the second acupuncture outpatient department of the second affiliated hospital of heilongjiang university of traditional Chinese medicine from March 2018 to December 2018.The 60 patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group, with 30 patients in each group. In the control group,Yangbai,Tai Yang,Sibai,Quan liao,Jiache,Dicang,Yifeng,Hegu and Qianzheng on the injured side were selected. In combination with Zusanli and Qihai for treatment, use the conventional acupuncture method, stop insert the needle when feel the Acupuncture induction. In the treatment group,Sibai and Yangbai acupoints on the affected side were needled, and the remaining acupoints were all needled with conventional acupuncture as well as the control group. Each treatment lasted for 40 min, including 6 days of treatment and1 day of rest, for a total of 4 weeks.By collecting H-B before and after the treatment of facial nerve function rating scale(House-Brackmann,H-B)and electrophysiological examination(facial nerve electric diagram contrast the change before and after the treatment of facial nerve temporal branch, zygomatic branch, buccal branch the incubation period and amplitude of change)the treatment effect, the effective data analysis and after treatment for 3 months and 6 months follow-up,to observe the prognosis. Results: 1.H-B scale score: comparison between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05),suggesting comparability between the two groups.Scores of patients in the two groups were compared before and after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that both groups had improved before and after treatment. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating that the treatment group was superior to the control group in reducing the H-B scale score.2.Emg examination: The amplitude of facial nerve temporal branch(frontal muscle)was compared between the two groups(P>0.05),showing no statistical significance. The comparison between the two groups after treatment(P<0.05)had significant significance, indicating that the value of the treatment group was closer to the healthy side than the control group after treatment. The incubation period of facial nerve temporal branch(frontal muscle)was compared between the two groups(P>0.05),indicating that there was no difference between the treatment group and the control group before treatment, and the comparison between the treatment group and the control group after treatment(P<0.05)had significant significance, suggesting that the incubation period of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group. The amplitude of the facial nerve zygomatic branch(orbicularis oculi muscle)was compared between the two groups(P>0.05),and there was no statistical significance between the two groups before treatment. The comparison between the two groups after treatment(P<0.01)was extremely significant, indicating that the value of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group after treatment. The latency period of facial nerve zygomatic branch(orbicularis oculi muscle)was comparable between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05)and after treatment(P<0.05),indicating that the values of the two groups were closer to the healthy side after treatment.Compared with two groups of patients with facial nerve buccal branch(orbicularisoris muscles)amplitude(P > 0.05),treatment group and control group no difference before treatment, after treatment between groups is no statistical significance(P > 0.05),the treatment group is similar with the control group after treatment amplitude;Comparison of the latency period of the buccal branches of facial nerve(orbicularis orbicularis oris muscle)between the two groups showed comparability before treatment(P>0.05),and no significant difference after treatment(P>0.05),suggesting no statistical significance between the treatment group and the control group after treatment.3.Prognosis: The incidence of hemifacial spasm and inversion was 7.69%in the treatment group 1 month after treatment lower than the control group 15.78%.The incidence of facial spasm and inversion was 12.00% in the treatment group and 31.58% in the control group 2 months after treatment. The incidence of sequelae was lower in the treatment group than in the control group. Conclusion: 1.The treatment of intractable facial paralysis by needle lift acupuncture can shorten the incubation period of temporal, zygomatic and buccal branches of affected facial nerves, and improve the amplitude of temporal, zygomatic and buccal branches of affected facial nerves. The curative effect was better than the conventional acupuncture group.2.The treatment of refractory facial paralysis with needle lift acupuncture has stable effect. The rate of sequelae was less than that of conventional acupuncture group.
