Research On Publicness Evaluation Of Wuhan Commercial Pedestrian Street

In today’s consumption era,commercial pedestrian street,as the continuation of the traditional street,carries the public life.Private capital or institutions participate in or even lead the development,construction and management of urban public space.Because of the characteristics of "privatization" and "commercialization",commercial pedestrian street’s publicness is controversial,but there is no evaluation method of Commercial Pedestrian Street’s publicness in China.Under this background,this paper will use Wuhan commercial pedestrian street as the research object,based on the existing public space related theories in the west,combined with China’s and Wuhan’s political economy,social culture,and legal basis.By taking literature research and field research,this paper will quantify and visualize the concept of publicity,while the experts and users can score together,so as to build a suitable commercial step in Wuhan Public evaluation system of street.At the same time,the evaluation system is applied to evaluate the commercial pedestrian street in Wuhan,trying to explore ways to improve the publicness of the commercial pedestrian street,for which we can truly play the social、economic and cultural functions of the commercial pedestrian street in Wuhan,and also promote the diversification of public life.This paper is divided into four parts.First of all,the concept and theory of publicness and publicness evaluation methods will be summarized and analyzed.At the same time,the emergence and development of commercial pedestrian street at home and abroad,especially in Wuhan,are studied to lay a theoretical foundation for the follow-up study.Then,the core part of the paper is to gradually determine the main dimensions,variables,evaluation standards,weights and practical operation methods,and complete the construction of the public evaluation system of commercial pedestrian street.After that,by using the public evaluation system of commercial pedestrian street,this paper will make an empirical evaluation of chuhan street and ianghan Road Walkway in Wuhan,and tests the feasibility and applicability of the evaluation system.Finally,the evaluation results of the two samples will be compared and analyzed horizontally,this paper will summarize the common problems and explore the reasons,and the strategies to improve the publicness of Wuhan commercial pedestrian street will be proposed.
