With the rapid development of city’s economic in China,the commercial complex has obtained a huge development.In order to fulfill people’s increasing demand of social life,the commercial complex should integrate all kinds of functions of city life,but also become the place in which residents can talk with each athers.It gradually become an important part of people’s social life.As the city public spaces,the commercial complex has been received more and more recognition,many researchers pay attention to the value of city publicness in public life spaces of the commercial complex.Through the investigation and observation of the public life spaces in the commercial complex,combined with the elements of city publicness to establish a evaluation system of city publicness.Further by the assessment analysis of the features and differences of city publicness,it can help to create great environment of public life spaces,this research also promote the commercial complex to be better to play the role of urban public space,provide some constructive suggestions for the commercial complex construction.This paper is divided into six chapters to describe city publicness of the commercial complex in detail,the key chapters are fouth section and fifth section.Chapter 1 Introduction.This section described the research background,purpose and significance.It also explained some related concepts,determined the subjects and the method in this study.Chapter 2 Analysis of city development background of the commercial complex.This section described the development of the domestic and foreign commercial complex,included Qingdao.It also concluded the categories and indentified the different city roles of the commercial complex.Chapter 3 City public spaces and the commercial complex.This section analysis the components of city public spaces and factors of spaces publicness,described public life spaces of the commercial complex and pointed out which elements would make influence on the evaluation of city publicness.Chapter 4 Investigation and research of city publicness of the commercial complex.This section analysis users flow,groups,trip mode and purposes,time periods,frequency and behavioural traits,when people come into public life spaces of the commercial complex.Methods of questionnaire survey and behavior observation are used in this study.Chapter 5 City publicness evaluation of the commercial complex.Based on the elements of city publicness and Analytic hierarchy process to establish evaluation system of city publicness,found its features and differences of city publicness.Chapter 6 City publicness creation of the commercial complex.Summarizes the features of public life spaces,this section supposed the creation of the commercial complex need to focus on : reasonable site selection and location,completely public life spaces construction,hommization requirements,urban cultural heritage.
