As the urban population continues to grow,the process of urbanization is accelerating,and land resources are in short supply,which not only promotes city changes in the direction of functional complex,spatial three-dimensional and maximum urban value,but also changes in public needs and lifestyles.In this context,shopping mall is a commercial complex that provides comprehensive services.Shopping mall makes full use of roof space,which not only alleviate problems in urban development,but also bring economic and social benefits to shopping malls.It will become a new development trend in the future.Although a great number of the roof space of shopping malls are managed by private interests.It is given the function of urban public space.In addition to accessible transportation and open use,it is also a space that can accommodate different types of users for different behaviors and activities,thus forming public life.Its particularity on space,function and owner make the roof space of shopping mall facing more complicated problems.Therefore,it is most appropriate to use the term "publicness" to explore whether the roof space of shopping mall could carry the functions of the urban public space in a true sense,and exert its publicness to promote the roof space to become a "container" of urban vitality.From the perspective of space publicness,this article refined the current research status and development situation of the roof space of shopping mall,and clarified the development problems and particularities of the publicness.After analying the evaluation model of exsiting space publicness,the most comprehensive star model was used as the basic research model.Its analysis dimensions were discussed in depth.Combining with the particularity of the roof space of shopping mall and the social background of China,it adjusted the original star model and get the publicess analysis dimensions and specific evaluation items,which were suitable for the roof space of shopping mall in China.What ‘s more,it set the corresponding scoring standards.Based on the evaluation method of star model,this article used subjective user evaluation and objective publicness model evaluation,which were complementary and validated evaluation methods.Finally,the evaluation framework of publicness evalation in the roof space of shopping mall was constructed.This article selected five representative roof spaces of shopping mall in Guangzhou and Shenzhen area for investigation and publicness evaluation research.According to the evaluation results,the publicness characteristics and problems of the five analysis dimensions were summarized,and relevant suggestions were put forward.From the perspective of the planning and management,it put forward two suggestions : constructing a multi-party cooperation management structure and strengthening the fine management.From the perspective of planning and design,three suggestions were put forward: strengthening the connectivity between roof space and urban space,integrating multi-level traffic accessible roof space and creating a diverse roof space.From the perspective of the use,it put forward two suggestions: planning full-time activities and returning to active participation in daily life.From the perspective of the operation and maintenance,the suggestions of regular maintenance and maintenance were put forward.On the whole,the purpose of this research was to build an evaluation model of the publicness of the roof space of shopping mall,which explored the characteristics and problems of the publicness of the roof space of shopping mall,and provided a publicness thinking dimension for building the roof space of shopping mall to meet the needs of users’ public life.Shopping mall roof space is not only a beneficial supplement to urban public space,but also provides a new channel for the realization of public interests. |
