In this information age,modern library management has developed from the concept of "based on technology and information" to the concept of "based on people",and the study of user needs is particularly important.How to improve the quality of personalized information service is a problem that needs to be discussed deeply in library circles.What kind of information should be provided by information service personnel according to the cognitive process of users is one of the important topics in the research of information service in modern libraries.At the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China(CPC),Xi stressed the importance he attaches to education.Primary school education is the foundation of education.Primary school education includes not only classroom learning on campus,but also extracurricular learning such as reading books and participating in activities in the library.As the main way for pupils to read after class,the library should have a deep understanding of their needs.Therefore,the library should provide personalized information service according to the characteristics of pupils' cognitive process effectively and improve the reading quality of pupils in the library.Taking primary school students as the research object,this paper studies the methods and strategies of providing primary school students with personalized information service in the library.Through observation,questionnaire and other research methods to understand the characteristics of the cognitive process of primary and middle school students in the library,this paper analyzes the influence of these characteristics on personalized information service,and puts forward feasible countermeasures to improve the quality of personalized information service based on the cognitive process.In the first chapter of this paper,the status quo of research at home and abroad is analyzed.On this basis,the research degree of personalized information service based on cognitive process is ensured to have an accurate understanding,and the research method,process and innovation points are proposed.The second chapter summarizes the theoretical basis of cognitive process and personalized information service respectively and studies the mutual promotion and restriction between cognitive process and personalized information service.The third chapter investigates the characteristics of the cognitive process and information needs of primary school students in the library and the problems not noticed by the library at present through on-site observation,questionnaire survey,website survey and telephone consultation.The fourth chapter studies the influence of meaning perception,attention,memory and thinking on the personalized information service of primary school students.The fifth chapter will combine the characteristics of primary students' cognitive process and information needs,and continue to conduct in-depth research on how the library provides personalized information services for primary students.
