Research On The Current Situation And Innovative Countermeasures Of Reading Service In University Libraries

Reading is an important way to improve moral cultivation and cultural accomplishment.Based on the need to create a learning society,China advocates the promotion of nationwide reading.As the organizer,manager and provider of document information,the library plays an important role in the nationwide reading.As an important part of university,library has rich resources and good reading environment.While assisting university teaching and research,it also promotes campus reading activities,meets readers' reading needs,builds a scholarly campus,enriches campus life,and disseminates subject knowledge.This thesis uses the theoretical and thinking of public management,starting from the concepts of nationwide reading and reading service innovation,based on the theoretical of humanistic theory and public goods,and uses the case study method,questionnaire survey method to analyze the services provided by the NYTDC in the era of nationwide reading.Then through the survey and analysis of user satisfaction on campus,it is found that the university library has problems such as low resource utilization rate,lack of reading environment,low level of service level and weak service awareness.The reasons are mainly due to the imperfect resource allocation mechanism,limited funding,low socialization of reading services,and backward construction of innovative librarians.By referring to the relevant experience of service innovation of advanced university libraries,combined with the actual situation,the paper proposes countermeasures for university library service innovation from four aspects.The main contents include:First,service concept innovation,emphasizing people-oriented concept,sharing concept and personalized service concept;Second,service content innovation,emphasizing the establishment of special collections,development of subject services,provision of social services and establishment of library regional alliance;Third,service environment facilities innovation,emphasizing service space reconstruction and improvement of intelligent service provision;Fourth,vigorously cultivate service innovation talents,emphasize the improvement of service personnel quality,strengthen the continuing education of librarians,and establish a scientific librarian incentive mechanism.It is believed there is a certain demonstration effect and important reference value for the development of library innovation in similar universities and better serve the diverse needs of readers.
