Leo.Tolstoj said "What is needed for successful teaching,is not compulsion,but an interest in learning.".Interest has a huge source of motivation and immeasurable potential power,it can promote students to put their energy on their interest in the subject,let them actively to explore and think.Therefore,to make students aware of the important role of history,to understand and realize the importance of learning history,to understand the importance of history to life,the first thing is to put students' interests and needs first.Therefore,this article starts from the reality of history teaching and the present situation of students' study,analyzes the importance of students' interest in history study,and finds out the methods to arouse junior middle school students' interest in history study.This article through my study of Xiushan County in Chongqing City Phoenix Middle School three grades of students issued questionnaires,found and summed up the current status of history interest teaching.In practical teaching,some teachers still give priority to the imparting of knowledge,the choice of curriculum resources is single,the teaching method is single,resulting in the students not interested in the history course,therefore,under the current educational situation,teachers must enrich the classroom content,the teaching method should be changed to arouse the students' learning interest and combine the interest with the teaching request.To help students stay motivated in their ongoing learning.Based on the investigation and the actual teaching process,the author finds out the problems,thinks about them and puts forward the optimization strategy.First,in the aspect of teaching content,we should enrich the curriculum content with multi-resources to improve the learning interest of junior middle school students,such as pictures,videos,historical materials,etc.,in order to stimulate the interest of junior middle school students in learning history,the main methods used are situational teaching method,comparative teaching method and cooperative inquiry method.Confucius said: "those who know better than those who are good,and those who enjoy better than those who are good." Obviously,it is so important to cultivate and improve students' interest in learning in the teaching process! In order to enable students to participate in the learning process with enthusiasm and initiative,to gain the development of personality,knowledge and intelligence,rich teaching contents and various teaching methods during the learning process,it becomes anindispensable factor in the classroom,it not only can carry out teaching-related activities and arouse students' interest,but also can lead students into history,feel the charm of history and find the key to study and master the knowledge of history.Interest Teaching is a never-out-of-date topic,trying to stimulate,cultivate and maintain students' interest in learning is the direction that every teaching staff is worth working on.
