As time goes by,the first decade of the 21st century has passed through our fingers soon. With the coming of the knowledge and economy age closely and completely, different countries in the world all lose no time and accelerate the speed to search and break a fire-new way to basic education. At present, with continuous deepening and development of foundational disciplines, such as pedagogy, psychology and so on, we will face a more touchy issue: How can we combine these research theories with the teaching practice of this subject better, and then it can produce better economic benefit and social effect, and we can change successfully from exam-oriented education into quality- oriented education and take beneficial quest and try. At the present stage, history in senior high school is a very important humanity in foundation education. But during actual teaching, history is usually regard as a"minor subject"or"small subject"for playing at by some teachers, parents and students. A number of students have no interest in learning history, and this brings great difficulties and obstruction to the subject teaching in reality, and then it has seriously affected the improvement of teaching quality. Form the point of many basic subjects such as education, psychology and so on, and according to the essential theory of"Teaching others teaches yourself", the article tries to have expounded emphatically the concept, connotation, development, classification about interest and its important significance on study. It also indicates that learning interest is the basic factor that is the most active and practical and it can affect learning motivation and effect. At the same time, I summarized practical teaching experience about history these years, and carried out a questionnaire survey for our school students, from this foundation, and from many points of view, such as range of history interest, level, types, etc. I analyzed the characteristics of interest which at present the senior high school students learnt history: decline trend, instability, unbalancedness and so on. The article discusses those subjective and objective factors that affect senior high students'interest in learning history, and puts forward many coping strategies on how to cultivate and enhance their interest in learning history, for example: we strengthen the education on the importance of learning goals, enhance the emotion between teachers and students, and improve teaching means and methods and so on. The article is a sage summary that I accumulated during the history teaching these years, and I hope I can make it as the starting point, and have further breakthroughs and improvements in the next teaching.
